I PM'd that very thread to NGD earlier this morning wondering what his thoughts were on it. At first I thought the label was just removed but now I notice that it's actually imprinted on the back of the cart. Very interesting.

Yeah, RBI Baseball 3 was the last if not the 2nd to last game released by them (in 1991 together with Pac-Mania), so I assume that they planned to save on production costs since this way they wouldn't have to print those backlabels anymore.  Maybe there's also some Pac-Mania copies around with a back like that.

My Pacmania has the label...actually the label doesn't even have the "Manufactured by Tengen" line just the Made in the USA. Doesn't that mean it's one of the older labels?
By the way, it's stamped PAR1.

There are worlds out there where the sky is burning, where the sea is asleep and the rivers dream; people made of smoke and cities made of song. Somewhere there's danger, somewhere there's injustice, and somewhere else the tea is getting cold. Come on, Ace, we've got work to do.
