Hey newbe here. Me & my 7year old just beat Little Sampson. Well he just watched. That shold be listed as one of the hardest games, never thought it would end. Have taken a look around, cool site. Found
through retrozone (retrousb.com). Just ordered the powerpaks, & a copynes. I can't wait to start playing around with that. One question I have is will the packs work with my GAR? Does anyone here know?

The Nes and Snes Powerpaks won't work with any cheating device because of the way they are design (it load a "Boot rom before it load any game). In fact if you are really unlucky you may even break something if you load a cheat code and it make the boot rom do some random thing its not suppose to.
But both Powerpaks have a built in menu were you can safely enter up to 5 GameGenie codes.

Here's what I was playing this past weekend:

Puzznic - beat Gravnic mode on Christmas Day.

Wizardry: Proving Grounds of the Mad Overlord - Beat it on Christmas as well.

Wizardry: Knight of Diamonds - Made my second attempt at a speed run on the 26th, but was slaughtered by the Magic Helmet Sad

Gonna try and be more patient next time, and grind out a few more levels before fighting it.

Metroid - Tossed it in on a lark on the 27th, and ended up with a no-death run. Took about 2 hours and 15 minutes, 15 minutes of which was me pausing to go print off a map of Norfair.

Castlevania II: Simon's Quest - Played it on the 27th as well, ended up getting the best ending. Working on doing a no-continue run, which is simply gonna take practice.

Jackal - Buddy of mine was over on the 27th, so after watching each other slaughter some single player games (he knocked out no-death runs of SMB2 and Silent Assault), some two-player fare was in order, so we knocked off Jackal. First time we'd beaten the game together, so we're running out of 2-player games now Tongue

Dec 2011 at 21:54 ive been playing "Metal Storm" today,got it for x-mas,its really fun! i like the "gravity system" the mech has! i was also playing "Jackal" recently as well.

Just beat Goonies II this morning. I'm pretty sure I could do a no-death run of the game once I learn the layout a bit better...pretty damn easy game overall. Also fired up Astyanax for the first time in around 15 years, got to 4-1 before dying, then had a few stupid deaths, so I just turned it off...figure it's not my day for that game, but it's definitely going in my 10-game "Now Playing" pile for the NES in my room Tongue
