NES Online Project
02. Apr 2010 at 09:37

Long story short, I've developed an inexpensive RS232 adapter for the NES that allows it to talk to an IP host through a PC or a WRT54GL router.  Instead of the expansion port, it uses the second controller port on the front of the console.  You wire a controller cable into the box then plug it into a serial port.  This will allow for the creation of the first online NES game.  If anyone has experience doing homebrew NES games and this interests you, please let me know.  I've always wanted to do an online NES RPG akin to Dragon Warrior.

Awesome and I'm sure nesdev.com is where you'll find the people capable of pulling off such a task...

I'll be following your project for sure.

On a sidenote.. I believe retrousb has something similar in the works but I may be wrong.
