Ah, a young NES collector. Don't find those often, we definitely need more of those in the world. Considering I am pretty young to collect these games (11 young enough for ya?) I currently have 35 games in my collection with the most rare and valuable one being MegaMan. Smiley If you want a good obscure game, try Krazy Kreatures. A fun unlicensed puzzle game.

Underrated/overlooked:

"Wizards & Warriors"
"Ironsword: Wizards & Warriors II"
"Snake Rattle & Roll"
"Kickle Cubicle"
"Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" (the first one)
"Tetris" (Tengen version)
"Krazy Kreatures"
"T&C Surf Design" (the least horrible of the LJN games)

Most under rated games EVER in my opinion are Power Blade and Little Samson…

Batman: Return of the Joker

Great game, deserves more attention.

The Punisher

Arcade style action, controls are ok. Worth only a few bucks so it can be tried out without spending a lot.

If you buy a good and fun game then your going to play it, otherwise your buying a paper-weight. I have tons of those.

I highly recommend a little gem called "The Magic of Scheherazade". You can find it for dirt cheap complete in box in just about any retro game shop, and it's worth picking up. It's an action RPG/Traditional turn based RPG hybrid, and it mixes the two genres wonderfully. I'd recommend following the guide on the "Scheherazade Shrine" for the first chapter to get things started, but do the rest of the game blind. It's one of the least known about NES hidden gems.

Another semi-hidden gem on NES is "Solstice: The Quest for the Staff of Demnos". It's a game you'll want to look up scans of the manual before playing so you know what your goals are, but after you learn, it's a very fun game to try and figure out.

All games are great, okay. It took an effort to program.
