-Magnavox Odyssey 2
-Mattel Intellevision
-Atari 5200

1. Atari 2600
-The system pretty much brought us video games. It made tons of innovations and great games, classics among classics are on this system. It also nearly destroyed the market as well, which is still pretty impressive.

2. Atari 5200
-Though it's controllers are garbage it did provide some really great games like "Pac-Man", "Joust", "Star Wars: The Arcade Game", "Centipede" and "Defender".

3. Colecovison
-The most powerful console of it's time gave us some sweet games. "Donkey Kong", "Zaxxon" and "Mr. Do" are the three easiest reason to buy a Colecovision. It also had a really nice design.

4. Intellevision
-I can't stand the weird controllers but i'll deal with it to play a system that made Atari worried about failure in the market. Good games include: "Snafu", "Frog Bog", and "Tron: Deadly Discs".

5-9 everyone else
-I haven't played these systems so I can't debate on which is better than the other.

Honest to gosh, their is not really a second generation group. When people made game systems during the 1970's, and maybe earlier, they just made cop-offs, or they took microcomputers ( what idiots call notebooks ), and turned them into micro-controller.

Idk, because I was not around. All I can say the first videogames sold were computer hobbiest things.
