1. Nintendo Entertainment System
-The system that brought back and dominated the market. From amazing 1st party to 3rd party titles, innovative design, smart marketing, and destroying anyone that got in their way, the NES towers over every other who dare to challenge them.

2. Atari 7800
-Taking the design of the 5200 and making it better, the 7800 made some choice titles to love the system. The 7800 gave us "Food Fight", "Pole Position II", "Joust", "Xevious" and "Mario Bros." plus being 2600 backwards compatible make me one happy gamer.

3. Sega Master System
-The Master System has the specs and design. I'm still discovering well crafted titles for Sega first system.

My vote here is NES.    Mainly because I have no experience with the other 2.

Get some emulators and try them out. They have some really good games.

I retract my statement on the positions of 2 & 3. I like the SMS more than the Atari 7800.
