Smurfs 64, or Les Schtroumpfs 64, was in developmet at Infogrames in France around 1998-99. A Playstation version of the game was also in the works at the time and managed to get released. The N64 version on the other hand never got released and received almost no media coverage.
According to Vannara Ty, who worked as a designer on Smurfs for the N64, the game was scrapped because of a staff shortage and Mission Impossible being a higher priority game at Infogrames.
||The project was killed after 8-9 months of dev. and I was assign on the 'Impossible Mission File' on N64 to help the team to finish the game. The Smurf N64 was killed because of lack of devs and artists to work on the projet. All of them was on the IMF project. |

A Video recently surfaced on Youtube, most likely showing the only known footage of Smurfs 64.
This is how ever pretty much all that is known about Smurfs for the Nintendo 64. If you have anything to add/contribute, please do contact me.
But fear not, the game did not go completely unreleased as it was released for the Playstation back in 1999, at least as far as I can tell, judging from the video.
