July 22nd, 2009 - 3:33 pm - Posted by Martin Comments: 0

July 21st, 2009 - 3:42 pm - Posted by Martin Comments: 0

Yes there'a another small update available.

This time I've tried to dig up information about Bits Studios RIQA game, to be released by Nintendo. Unfortunately the info about the game is still very sparse, but it's still worth a read I hope

Also, the Acclaim Sports Soccer article from yesterday has received a small update (an N64 magazine "coming soon" snippet scan from 1998)

N64 UNRELEASED: ACCLAIM SPORTS SOCCER
July 20th, 2009 - 12:39 pm - Posted by Martin Comments: 0

Once again it's time to take a look at an unreleased N64 game, this time it's Acclaim's Soccer game which was under development by Probe Entertainment for quite some time until it got axed.

I'm not a football (soccer) fan but I would've loved to see this one released for some very strange reason.

Click here to check it out.

N64 UNRELEASED: TOMMY THUNDER
July 19th, 2009 - 4:05 pm - Posted by Martin Comments: 0

Yes it's one again time to take a deeper look at one of the N64 games that didn't make it. Tommy Thunder was created by Player1 and was to be released by ASC Games, also known as American Software Corporation.

However early in development Player1 switched from N64 to PSX and a real team was put together but the game didn't really get anywhere and was eventually canned.

For the complete story click here.

UNKNOWN EUROCOM NES RELEASE GETS A NAME
July 18th, 2009 - 2:32 pm - Posted by Martin Comments: 0

Neil Baldwin of Eurocom fame has been working on a website about this old NES music creations for quite some time and the music is nothing short of amazing.

Besides being the author for the music for the unreleased Hero Quest NES game, Neil Baldwin also worked on another Eurocom project to be released by Japanese publisher Video System - called Erik the Viking - a previously totally unknown NES game.

The game was some kind of Zelda clone and the game was nearly finished. But due to various misunderstandings between Eurocom and Video System the project came to a halt.

Sadly the near final ROM of Erik the Viking is no where to be found, but Neil has been kind enough to upload the music and I must say that the music is simply awsome... especially track 2 has a great vibe to it:-)

Anyway check out Neil's site here for more information and NES bleeps - http://dutycyclegenerator.com/.
