NESWORLD BLAST FROM THE PAST: FAMILY BASIC
October 27th, 2010 - 5:42 pm - Posted by Martin Comments: 0

Way back in 1997 NESWORLD added a page about a device called Family BASIC. The article wasn't written by me but by a Japanese guy called Akiyoshi.

Sometime between 1997 and 2010 the page dissapeared from the website, but has today returned and it can be seen here in its original translated version by Akiyoshi.

To "celebrate" the release of an unreleased NTSC version of Taz Express, I've decided to do a quick update of the N64 Game Index :-)

N64 GAME INDEX UPDATED
October 17th, 2010 - 5:09 pm - Posted by Martin Comments: 0

I've had very little time to work on anything lately, but I've managed to squize in a few minutes here and there to work on the N64 Game Index, and here we are with a few new additions, such as a few missing PAL released, some "general info" pages with screenshots and such for games, more box scans....

If you own a game that's not listed or have a good scan of box art that isn't available, please feel free to contribute.

Thanks! :-)

NEW HOMEBREW IN THE WORKS - NOMOLOS: STORMING THE CASTLE
October 17th, 2010 - 2:30 pm - Posted by Martin Comments: 0

Well as the topic says, a new homebrew is in the works by Gradual Games, called Nomolos. The release date and form is still unknown, but I wouldn't be surprised if we'll see a cartridge release by RetroZone :-)

NEW NES (FAMICOM) HOMEBREW: BLADE BUSTER
October 6th, 2010 - 4:23 pm - Posted by Martin Comments: 0

A new Famicom homebrew has appeared from the far east. A "team" called High Level Challenge has released a new shooter called Blade Buster. Well "they" called themselves a team, but it was basicly made by one guy, with a little help from friends.

I didn't really expect much when I went to the japanese website, but was met with some extremely impressive screenshots, I was still in doubt though - but only until the actual ROM was downloaded.

This is just crazy! This has got to be the most impressive NES (errrr sorry Famicom) homebrew ever released! :-)
