Sometime last year NatioalGameDepot of... well NGD fame... managed to buy the remaining boxes of Color Dreams junk from the owner of Wisdom Tree.
While most prototypes already had been picked up years ealier, a box of EPROMs still remained and it was shipped to NGD in with the rest of the lot, such a dev and design documents.
Well it turns out that a real treasure was burried in the box of eproms as the game Happy Camper saw the light of day when the eproms were dumped. One can only wonder what else was in that box that we havn't heard of yet.
Anyway Happy Camper has often been discussed and while the binary definately existed, confirmed by the programmer of the game Jon Valesh, it unfortunately wasn't possible to aquire the binary from him.
The game was developed during the same period as Operation Secret Storm and was delayed because of this. To make the story short - when Jon was almost done coding Happy Camper, Color Dreams received the call to make Bible themed games and there was no need for Happy Camper - which was thought to be too hard to play by game testers anyway.
Well now you're able to check out the game by perordering one of 110 carts made in the first run, the maximum number of carts is said to be no more than 250.
The price incl. shipping is $55 for US customers, $57 for Canada and $62 for the rest of the world. While it may sound like a lot of money to some, keep in mind that it's not cheap to manufacture NES carts and this gem comes complete with box, manual and other goodies.
The preordering takes place at NintendoAge, so I suggest that you head on over and secure yourself a copy ASAP :-)

Oh and should you be interested in other Color Dreams games then I have a few on ebay right now, and they're factory sealed I might add.
Check out the auctions here.
