THE GARAGE CART
MEMBLER INDUSTRIES RELEASES A NES CART IN 2005!
Back in March 2005, Memblers of nesdev.parodius.com and Strangulation Games fame, decided that he wanted to make a NES cartridge with homebrewn games on it. The initial idea was to make a cartridge with 100% Strangulation Games on it. But as only one of the first four games announced was completed, Chris Cowell's amazing Solar Wars game also found it's way to the cart.

A beta of Roadkill was later auctioned off on ebay.

Anyway, title of the cartridge was then renamed to "Garage Cart" and included Munchie's Attack, Hot Seat Harry and Cowell's Solar Wars game. It features a very weird looking label on the cartridge, as well as a small menu for selecting a game. A manual and box was planned, but the cost of making such would've made the price insanely high.

A total of 24 cartridges were made, each numbered, I've got #13, and sold for US$40 + shipping. The carts were sold in no time, almost all carts were pre-ordered, but a few carts did manage to reach crazy ebay prices.

Garage Cart 2 was quickly after planned, and has been in the works ever since? The new cart is supposed to include even more games, including the impressive "NESnake 2" and will be using a custom PCB, called Squeedo.

However no news has surfaced the last year or so, about the status of the project....
