Recently a prototype of Tower of Radia appeared on ebay with a buy it now price of $849.95 and was shortly after in the hands of a new owner. Doing a
little research on this one it turns out that the owner found it at a swapmeet, the Cypress College Swapmeet to be exact, for no more than $2, which
does seem a little fishy but okay and what a profit made on that find. The current owner goes under the name "Langenfeld".
Tower of Radia is actually a translation of a Famicom game called Radia Senki: Reimeihen, or Chronicles of the Radia War. The game is an RPG and reminds
me of Final Fantasy or Dragon Quest. Why the game never made it to the US is unfortunately not known, but i'm sure it would've sold well.
The Famicom version was translated to english back in 1999 so a reproduction cartridge could be made. Though the current owner of the real american version
has shown interest in having his copy reproduced in a limited quantity, so there's still hope of getting the release America was suppose to receive way back
in 1992.
