26 JUNE 2007 - 00:10 CET

POWERPAK EXPOSED
25 JUNE 2007 - 01:00 CET
I've completed my PowerPak page, though it may receive an update or two over the next few days. I have to be honest and say that I originally thought it was a pile of junk, but that thought was put to shame once I got the cartridge running. Anyway check out my PowerPak page here.

ANOTHER TWO PARTS OF RETROWARETV EPISODE 3 ONLINE
21 JUNE 2007 - 21:30 CET
As stated, RetroWareTV has posted the another two parts of their third episode. While it was a bit strange to get the Wizard review over such a long period of time, I may be old but I forgot the first parts of it, I would like once again to say thanks for a brilliant episode of RetroWareTV...

Please click here to visit their website for links to the next two parts of episode three, one more part to go.

NES WORLD IN RETRO GAMER
21 JUNE 2007 - 17:15 CET
Browsing through the latest edition of Retro Gamer I noticed that NES WORLD once again is featured in their Retro Sites section. I'm always extremely proud when I see something like this as it hopefully means that I've done a good job over the many many years NW has been running. So a warm thank you to the people at Retro Gamer for the mentioning of my site :-)

NES WORLD was also mentioned 8 or so issues back, right before my subscribtion started....

THE FUNKY FLASH CARTRIDGE
17 JUNE 2007 - 00:05 CET
A long time ago Arto Hatanpää developed a NES flash cartridge which unfortunately never saw the light of day, well besides in the form of only 2 completely assembled cartridges, instant rarity. Well as a small tribute to his great work I've created a small page about the project which I hope a few of you may find interesting.... check it out here.

WHAT MOST OF US HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR
12 JUNE 2007 - 00:45 CET
It's finally here... the NESPowerPak! the worlds first flash cart for the Nintendo Entertainment System. This gem has been created by bunnyboy of www.retrousb.com fame and retails for a whopping $135 which may seem like a bit too much but I'm farily sure they'll be sold out quickly (the first batch that is). Anyway head on over to www.retrousb.com if you want to buy one... and a review will be coming as soon as possible as my copy already has been ordered :-)

MUSIC ALBUM RELEASED ON A NES CARTRIDGE
5 JUNE 2007 - 22:40 CET
These days seems to be the time of odd stuff to appear. A guy called Alex Mauer is releasing a compilation of NES music, called Vegavox, on nothing less than a real NES cartridge. The music is acutally very cool and well worth a listen. While the cartridge was claimed to be available almost a week ago, we have yet to see any sign of it? Well until then you can listen to the music here.

Thanks to Al Bailey for passing on the news to me...

NINTENDO WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP CARTRIDGE... ONLY US$45
5 JUNE 2007 - 22:10 CET
Okay so this bit of news is quite late but "bunnyboy" of www.retrousb.com and NESPowerPak fame has released yet anoter item for NES fans out there. If you, like me, can't afford one of the highly expensive and over rated (when it comes to actual number of carts) Nintendo World Championship competition cartridges, then here's your chance to get one - if it wasn't because the reproduction hadn't sold out within minutes a few days ago.

But what bunnyboy did was creating a custom NES board and blue plastic casing and thereby rereleasing the competition cartridge with a price tag of no more than US$45. The cartridge cools awesome and while it doesn't feature the dip swicth or look anything like the original, I still wouldn't hesitate to pick one up, that is if it hadn't sold out already. Of course a new batch of carts will be available in the near future, but i'm sure it'll be next to impossible to get one still..... so good luck :-)

The cartridge can be ordered from www.retrousb.com.
