Hello all. I'm new here but I have collected Video games for years and have references on other forums such as Digital Press, RFGeneration, and on Ebay.

Recently, I bought a large lot of NES games in the box but they didn't include the styrofoam inserts.

Without the styro, the boxes lack rigidity and structure (at least in my estimation).

When I looked on Ebay I found that with shipping they were going for 66 cents each.

Therefore, I am contracting with a local professional styrofoam company to create replica styro inserts for NES boxes. However, the minimum order would be 1000 pieces and I don't need that many.

I'm hoping that several of you would buy some so I can meet or exceed the minimum order. I am NOT really making money at this at all, simply recouping my costs for purchasing, boxing, and shipping these.

The prices would be as follows:

20 to 49 pieces would be $0.40 each.
50 to 99 pieces would be $0.32 each.
100 to 149 pieces would be $0.26 each.
150 to 199 pieces would be $0.22 each.
200+ pieces would be $0.18 each.

Equivalent trades might be considered as well.


This INCLUDES shipping and handling via Media Mail. I'm going to put a blank CD in each package with the styros as "packing material."   If you have a Nazi for a postal person and they send it postage due, that is your responsibility. I can't imagine it'll be a problem.  

If I get pre-orders that total significantly higher than 1000, I will pass on any savings to the buyers.

I accept Paypal and will not expect payment until I have the styros in hand (about a week after I order) and am ready to ship.

How is this bad for the integrety of the boxes?  All the games came with the sytrofoam from the factory, and these are the same exact size as the orignal ones are.

The reason I want them is because they give the boxes integrity and will keep the cardboard from bending.

Actually NES, I posted about European shipping over at DP.  It looks to be prohibitively expensive.  

And for Canadians, I had my shipping dept run the package cost to BC and it was $15-20 extra. I would only charge actual shipping costs to Canada.   FYI.  

Anybody else want some before I place the order?

I wouldn't charge any handling.  It would just be the cost to ship to your area of Canada.  I had my shipping dept (at my work) run a ship quote to B.C and it was up to $20 for 3 lbs.

I have them and am shipping them to people as they paypal (or send a check) for the funds.

I counted about 40 boxes & I have plenty left over.

Considering that I don't go to Ebay very much, & finding boxes in person is pretty rare itself, & that I have over 20 inserts left, I'm cool.
