That, my friend, is one hell of a deal. Pesterminator is not easy to come by.

That's what I figured since there's a complete opened copy on ebay for $50. I debated in buying Bronty's for myself but knew wrldstr might want a chance to get it first since that's the last Color Dreams game he needs.

I mentioned in another thread that I was fixing to get a ton of boxes and manuals.  I just checked your needed list and he does have a few of the ones you need.  I am going to go ahead and pick them up for you, and we can work out a deal on them later.  I am not 100% sure I am getting the stuff, but I am about 97% sure we are going to come to terms.  I will be in touch.

I replied to this on RFGeneration as well...I have a spare Xexyz box, but the front is sun-faded.  It's in decent shape otherwise.  I'd trade it straight for any box I need if you're interested.  Let me know on RFGeneration, since I check there more often these days, and my PM box here lags my comp...guess it's time for a clean up :P

You know, I've done alot of searching high and low for complete NES games and that Wayne's World is one tough box to find. Only one I've found is sealed and the owner doesn't want to get rid of it.

I'm keeping an eye out for ya man. I'll let you know if I find any auctions or anybody selling any of those boxes ;) Almost there! You know, after you finish with all of these, you should go ahead and add the 3 Panesians. I know you said you didn't want to add those to the collection but I think it would just give it that nice touch.

i might grab the paninesians if i ever decide to sell everything  for a complete set but for time being I will pass on them

I did find a sealed twin cobra and a complete short order eggsplode so im down to 21   yeah

sad thing is i think ill have a complete n64 collection which i just started 2 months ago before i finish off my nes  picked up a seale nfl blitz special addition and worms armageddon today.

Lets say you put in the search term NES cool world into the item search on ebay and wanted to search item discriptions.  If you did that, that particular one would not have shown up because the moron who listed it put "cool world( comes in..." so, it wouldn't have found it.

Now say you put in the term nes "cool world" (in quotes) it would knocked that ( out of the search and found the name.

I am determined to help you now doug.  I WANT you to finish off this collection.  As always, i will keep my eyes peeled and if i see a good deal i'll snag it for you so it doesn't slip by.

and that is all that is going on right now.

spendy, yes.  Patience is everything.  If you just wait, these can all be had for nothing more then a few dollars.  I've seen each and every box on your list there pass through my hands in the last couple years and i didn't pay over 15 a game.

Title: Re:  help down to last 10 nes boxes
Post by Hounder on 08. Oct 2006 at 15:15
I think Myriad is the only one he doesn't have. I gaurantee you that he will pick up the next complete copy available ;) Unless of course, it's some outrageous price that only a handful of people would be willing to pay if that many. lol

This collection is very impressive. VERY VERY VERY few people have obtained what Doug has got. I think the only other people that have gotten this far is dl_collectibles, that one guy on ebay from Germany, another guy over at DP who had almost everything plus all the major variants boxed, and now wrldstrman. Quite a task. I know Captain_Nintendo doesn't have a long ways to go and I don't think DreamTR is too far away either.

I'll be keeping my eye out for ya ;)

My guess is that Wayne's World and Chubby Cherub are going to be the last boxes you pick up. I can't even remember the last Wayne's World box for sale or trade anywhere. Not to discourage or anything, just stating my thoughts.

If you don't mind me asking (I'm sure others have wanted to know as well), what's the hardest common box you've had to find so far?

Title: Re:  help down to last 10 nes boxes

What is amazing is that I have every box he needs buy Chubby Cherub I am pretty sure.  I am glad that I have these out of the way.  I wish I had doubles to sale of them, but sadly I don't.  I just hope you don't forget about NES once you have them all.

Title: Re:  help down to last 10 nes boxes
Post by qixmaster on 09. Oct 2006 at 16:07
When i started selling my collection off, I believe I had every one of those remaining boxes you need....

i know for a fact i had wayne's world and chubby cherub.  I knew that wayne's world was super hard to find, but no one bought it for the longest time and i ended up selling it for something like 15 bucks.  I did get a little more for my chubby cherub though :)

I am just glad to learn you found a sqoon box.  That, my friend is probably in the top five for hardest to find boxes.... especially one in decent shape.

No kidding. Almost every Sqoon box that you see it beat up so bad and almost isn't worth paying for. I think NGD just bought one that was in pretty decent shape. How much did you make off that Chubby Cherub?

i think i got my sqoon box from you qix I would of got the chubby cherub to if  i knew it was that hard to find......kid klown is another box that isnt easy to find..i  would guess there are close to 100 t0 150  boxes that will run 2 to 3 times more than the carts are worth... I know everyone always brings uo neo geo when it comes to the hardest and most expensive games  but nes has to be of the hardest systems to try and complete...Wasnt the neo geo a system made for the rich  and not many games actually avaiable to the public.

Title: Re:  help down to last 10 nes boxes
Post by raregamergirl on 10. Oct 2006 at 00:28
the atari is much more difficult to collect for than the NES. the neo geo was a system that was meant for arcade enthusiasts who wanted arcade quality in their home. games were a small fortune brand new and there are quite a few still worth a small fortune. it is definitely the most expensive system to collect for (the atari is up there, might even be more expensive overall). the atari is probably the most difficult to collect for, though. the NES is difficult to collect for, but it can be done. sealed collecting for the SNES is also INSANELY difficult to collect for (much more difficult than sealed NES).

Title: Re:  help down to last 10 nes boxes
Post by wrldstrman on 10. Oct 2006 at 05:28
atari it also doesnt help that there seems to be new home brew games coming out of the woodwork...

Post by Hounder on 11. Oct 2006 at 15:10
I was amazed at his collections. He has so many rare atari games, it's not even funny. He's missing like Eli's Ladder and a few other R10s but has like a complete Cubicubes (or whatever it is called) and a few others that are really really impressive. Almost all his collections are complete. He only needs a few manuals and boxes for the NES. I think it was like Sqoon, Chubby Cherub, Indy Jones/Last Crusade (tengen), umm.....and some fairly easy ones after that. His n64 collection is pretty neat too. Only needs a few more boxes for that as well.

He told me he had done a lot of trading with you. He still needs a challenge of the dragon box if you still have that extra. I told him to get a hold of you about it ;) I did get to hold his SE manual and flip through it though. That....yes, that was awesome! lol
