I have 4 non-working AC power supplies.....

Can these be fixed and if so, how do you open them?

Any ideas?

If the transformer's bad, I don't think you'll have much luck unless you want to try rewrapping them... I guess it's possible it's just a loose wire.

If I remember correctly, the NES ones have two holes in bottom with little pegs in the middle. That's where the posts are. Rather than screws holding the two sides together, they're glued or something. you have to pretty much break the posts or cut around the posts to get it apart.

The nes still expects AC, so there isn't much more than a transformer in there.

The ones I got from you Jason are fine :)

I bought 6 from a guy on DP, 3 were bad. He then sent me 3 more and 1 of them was bad. I thought maybe I can save them. It doesn't sound good though.

I will try and break one apart and see what I can do.

It might be something as simple as a wire disconnection somewhere. I have one myself. I have to bend the cord at one point to get it to work. Try to bend the cord several of places and see if works :)

I tried to bend the cords but no luck. Either the wire is broken inside the plug itself or the transformer is burned out.

I just was hoping there was a way to fix them. I hate throw them away:) Yep, I am that cheap.

Maybe it will turn out to be 2 bad transformers and 2 bad wires and you'll get two out of them... :)
