I agree and will sign. I hate myspace. Just the other day a friend of mine was telling everyone the very same thing about how filthy it was and the next day it was on the front page of our newspaper! lol Of course I don't mean his exact words but there was an article on the FRONTPAGE of the local paper about how disgusting the site was becoming. What are the odds? ;D

haha, so true.  that place is a breeding ground for disease...but it is fun typing in my high school and checking up on the losers i graduated with...ive found most had peaked in high school and now are on a downward spiral.   finally some sweet justice!

You should add to your list of cons that MySpace has become infested with spam -- most of it being pornography.  Almost all friend requests I get are from amateur pornstars trying to promote their website.  I always just mark them as spam and delete them.

I don't use MySpace, but I don't really have anything against it.

Looking at the list of cons, it just seems that people should be more responsible; like 12 year olds using it.  I mean, come on, don't you need to be 13 to have an E-mail address?

I like MySpace, but then again I'm not a parent.  It does have many problems and risks but if you use it correctly then it's a great way to stay in touch with people.

I've already said why I don't like it but on the topic of staying in touch isn't that what email and phones are for? I find websites like myspace too much of a waste of time. Takes forever to set it all up, connect with people, and the likes. Plus you have to keep it updated all the time and blah blah blah. I actually have one elsewhere (not myspace) but only because my ex made me sign up on it. I never use it because I find it extremely boring and takes too much time. Plus 95% of the people that connected with me live in a 10 mile radius of me and I see them every week.

Anyways, that was my little rant  ;D

And that is the correct perspective for the majority of the Internet. Personally I think MySpace is a pimple on the ass of the Internet. BUT, I also think that people should be free to use said pimple all they want. If parents are truly concerned about what their children are doing online, they would take a more active role in monitoring their children's online activities. MySpace isn't the only place creeps hang out, nor was it the first, and you can bet that it won't be the last.
