Title: How to Spot Resealed NES Games
Post by burnambill333 on 09. Aug 2006 at 08:00
I've been meaning to write this guide for a while now.  I know a lot of people could benefit from it, I've just been lazy and haven't gotten around to it until now.  I am quite pleased with how it came out.  Let me know what you think.

That's pretty useful - I've read through it all, and will try and remember it! Gave you a vote for 'yes it was useful'. There are a lot of scammers out there.

Very nice Nick.  I was also impressed that you volunteerily included the fact that you scammed people in the past and got caught.  That makes the review even more legitmate in my book.  Good work ;)

Don't forget the black magic marker trick...  For a box like final fantasy, the white crease could be covered with black magic marker to make it more deceptive.  Often it's easy to tell because the black won't match exactly and it won't be as smooth as it should be, but it may slip past a quick glance...  :)

Thanks for the kind words.  I just added information about hang tabs and price stickers.

Michael The Great - I have never heard of that method before using markers to cover the white line.  I added that info to the guide also and credited you at the top.  Thanks.

Well, thanks for the great help to everyone.  I had no idea about the sealing on the side stuff myself...
