Title: What is the value of this 190-in-1 cart? Post by burnambill333 on 22. Aug 2006 at 20:34 There is an eBay lot I have my eyes on that has this bundled in and I want to know the value of it. I don't know what games are on it or anything, but I assume they're the regular "misnamed" pirate titles, and probably mostly variations of the same game. Any help or hints, greatly appreciated. |

My hunch is that it's not worth much -- those pirate multi-carts, with that many games, have sold for as much as $45 on eBay, but I certainly wouldn't pay more than $20 for that one (it's probably worth even less, but maybe someone with more knowledge of it will comment). I like pirate carts, so I'm always willing to pay a few more dollars than they're worth to get them.

I'm going to agree with JC on the price. I'm no expert in the pirate world as I don't like collecting them as they seem pointless to me (that's just me though).

Generally, as the numbers go higher, the quality (and price) of the game goes lower, with one exception:

IMO any pirate with the exception of a select few are worth 20-30 shipped. There are a few that I would pay more for, but not many at all. They are neat things to collect, but don't spend a lot on them, cause if you keep you eyes out, you can find the super cheap.

Pirate multies are really a mixed bunch. There are a few that have a good selection of good games, and there are a lot that have crappy games repeated over and over again. The best ones I've seen for some reason all have numbers in the 70's in one. I don't know if most of the 70's in one come from one company or what, but they really had a good mix of good games often. A few of the 4 in ones have good games and fun pirate originals. I've never seen anything over 100 that has has an actual good mix of games.
Pirates are good for for a starter collection, and they're good space savers when traveling. Never believe the pictures or the game lists. Always write down the name of your ebay seller in case the auction gets pulled... :) |

Smart man ;) I see someone else besides me and Dain employ this method to get pirates cheaply. I have gotten more than half of mine like this. ~~NGD |

Thanks for all the information, I didn't think it was worth too much, but you never know. For the record, the pirate cart is bundled with this auction, which would have been a great lot for resale had some noob not bid it up to $300.
