...you're at some pawn shop looking around, but don't seem to find anything.  Then, as you're about to leave, you catch a glimpse of some Nintendo games.

You then notice there's a bunch of them.  You're finding variants you never knew existed then wonder if the seller knows how valuable they are & if you can get them at a sweet price.  Then you try reading something in detail & then know what's going on.  Then you wake up.  Urgh. >:(

I wonder if dreams do tell the future, because that was one pimping find.  I swear, if you like to dream, go to sleep late, wake up early, then go to sleep again - it almost always works for me.

I've had my share of doh's when I found out it all was a dream. Finding unlicensed games, CIB, that no one knew existed... or how about a stack of never heard of protos.... or how about the time I won a BMW..

Let's see what I can remember here:

-Several Little Nemo's with different labels
-A Cart Sleeve that read "Iron Fist" :-?
-Tecmo Super Bowl (I think) with a white proto-like label on it

Damn strange, Jedi. You know, I've never dreamt about collecting, but I have dreamt about being in a game. I guess that says something about how I don't consider myself a collector, per se, but instead a gamer. I love analyzing these things.

Short answer, yes they can tell the future.  But not all of them.  And there's no real way to say for certain whether that particular dream was predicting the future.  

Oh yea, and you also have to interpret them a little bit.  If you find yourself in a pawn shop someday, and suddenly you realize that it is *about* what you saw in your dream, but you don't see any NES games, ASK for them.  They might keep them behind the counter :-)

People don't have very many dreams that predict the future, but when they do, the dreams are usually accurate.  

For example, I was able to see which dorm I was going to live in at college years before I actually did.  I also saw a building which has now become central to my graduate studies.

So keep a sharp eye out.  You never know :-)

Im pretty sure i've dreamed about finding rare games cheap, but i cant remember anything specific :\

I have had dreams about buying out repair centers, then got a call from the repair center the very next day and bought it out.

hahahaha.  I wish.  I have just recently gotten out of credit card debt.  The only reason I was in debt was because I was unemployed for nearly 2 years and was just draining my savings account. The most I have spent buying out a repair center was like 600 bucks, and I sold some of the stuff I bought out for far more than I paid for it all.  Then I got to keep the stuff I wanted for free basicly.hehe.

I once found a huge SNES-promotional controller. It was almost half a meter in length and it was working. It was mounted on the back of a World of Nintendo-sign. I bought it along with a great number of protos, but I must have dropped all the stuff on the way out of the store because, when I woke, up it was gone. :'(

I'm having this kind of dreams all the time, I don't like them cus I feel so ripped off when I wake up. Ruins my day  >:(

Yeah, you can have these kinds of dreams with any kind of collecting.  In addition to NES collecting dreams, I collect money and coin errors.  That means like coins that have been misstamped, offset bill printings, etc.  I'm all the time finding stuff of my dreams and then waking up empty-handed.  

Grrr >:( It happened again; this time at a flea market & Snow Bros. for $4 - but it wasn't in perfect condition - & it looked more like a Famicom game - but still... :(

Maybe I should go to the swap meet  tomorrow?

sorry to hear about that AGAIN jedi  ;D. I can't recall  any dreams but if I'm going to check out a new pawn shop or game store I haven't been to in a while. While I drive there I keep saying  Oh what if I find a sealed BB2 or this or that, goin through al the rarer games, but in the end....nothing special,  have to stop getting ahead of myself
