Title: NOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!
Post by Rhett on 26. Sep 2006 at 21:28
Mom had a sale recently and I found out she tossed out a crapload of TI82's and some other vintage computers along with several games in that era, and a perfectly good Atari 2600! (THe more rare wood paneled looking one!)

ARGH!!!!

my story is not nearly as bad, and I managed to prevent it from happening.

But my dad was about to step on this large brown box he had found in the basement. Fortunately he asked me if I needed it anymore and I was able to save the original M82 box :-)

I still have about 40 garbage pal kids stickers from back in the day.  Are they actually worth anything?

Dang man, that sucks :( Maybe you should hunt down the people that bought the stuff and demand it back :P

Also, I know that most of the original Garbage Pail Kids paintings are extremely sought after as they go for insane prices on ebay.

It sucks when parents act like this. Once my mom threw away my empty game boxes i folded. She thought it was junk and just threw it away, about 10 boxes.

Doesnt seem to be worth anything really. Possibly some rare cards tho. Here is an auction with 48 packs of unopened cards and its currently on $30.

I remember that Garbage Pail Kids cards was really rare here, since we had Garbage Gang instead. People payed like $3.5 for 1 card and so and that was alot of money considering you got a whole bag of candy for $1.75 back then :)

TO me it is even worse that it got trashed.  WE were given the TI computers years ago, and they were never turned on, if they were sold I would probably be happy, we'd make a few dollars and a collector or reseller could do something with them. But they were just trashed!  :-?

Haha. You all have some sucky parents when it comes to tampering with your "garbage." My parents are more like pack rats. If they see something of mine sitting around that might even have a hint of value because it's antique or classic, they package it up nicely...and years later I discover it in a box in their garage.
