I say or less because if more than 11 people are interested, the price will drop.  It will be roughly 13 bucks per shirt if I get 12 total (counting me), but if we get like 100 they could even cost as less as 7 bucks.  This will be perfectly legal because they're for private use, I've checked with the print shop.  In addition, I'll have them add "reprinted shirt, not original" or something like that below the copyright date.  Post here if you want some of this.  Counting there looks to be one more color than they may be able to do, so it will have to be altered slightly, but that will make it thus impossible for anyone to post it on eBay as the original.

Oh yeah, that's another thing, they can be printed on ANY color shirt in ANY size.  Thus, we can have an order of 50 shirts and half of them XL half S with alternating purple, red, white and blue in color and it will be the same price.  I also may adjust the design to make use of the shirt color itself so we can fit all the images in it without losing too much of the design.  So that's three right there (if you want more than one for yourself you'll of course need to pay for each shirt).

ill take one. anyway possible to get that logo printed onlike say a forestgreen shirt?? it would probabl look pretty sweet. By the way will the logo be professional looking or like that crap you print off at home??

No, this shop is GOOD, they'll do any design exactly as you see it, it will look EXACTLY as you see it there.  I've decided to just do the shirt as you see it, instead of making it NESworld.  Someone would have to make the logo if we wanted to do that, otherwise they'd make it and it would cost more.  I need to check out about the color, because I think they can only do 6 at once for a single cost, and there are two extra in that image.  If you do forest green, it will be easy.  See, for that color shirt, we'll just use the green for the images that use green, minus the blocks, which we'll change to another color so they don't blend in with the shirt color.  They can do it all.  So that makes four shirts thus far, only need 7 more people.

I want one, size XL.

As long as it looks ok with the colors, I'll trust your judgement there.  But let us know what you find out about that.

Stan, count me in.   Do you know what brand of t-shirt will be used?

Gildan Activewear Ultra Cotton.  Good quality, trust me, I had some shirts made by these guys already.  As far as I know this can be pulled off easily.  I'll email them and they'll let me know.  They told me before they normally only do up to six colors, I'm pretty sure on that.  It would seem they could fit a few more in, but it would likely be slightly extra.  It looks like I'm getting enough interest, so I'm going to email them.  Please keep in mind one thing, I WILL NOT BE PRINTING THESE SHIRTS UNLESS EVERYONE PAYS.  I'm not going to front 150 bucks or whatever and have only five people pay.  The more we get, the less the shirts for everyone, but I think even just 13 per shirt is a great deal for something you won't worry about wearing since you didn't pay a fortune for it.  Four more people to get the basic order, but if we get more even better!

Hey, I will take 2 shirts.  One has to be Adult Medium (for me), the other has to be Adult Large (for somebody else).

I would also like them to be on a different color shirt than plain white.  Plain white is just boring.  Forest green like parpunk said seems like it would be fine.

Okay, we only need three more then!  Or is it two?  Please keep in mind one thing, depending on how they can manage the colors, if you get it put onto a different color shirt, it may be a bit more for your particular shirt.  This is for a very important reason.  If you look at the design, white is essentially one of the colors, but the shirt itself is incorporated into this.  Therefore, if you were to get green, the color green would have to be replaced by the shirt color itself and white would take it's place.  Keep this in mind, because if you get a color that's totally off, if they can do it, you'll have to pay a bit more for it.

Man, we need to go around the net and get orders.  As of my current financial straits I can't pitch in for anything, but if this goes on for a few weeks and if we can get huge orders in.  (Like bringing it down to $7 or -8 a shirt I'll buy 5 or six.)

Lol.....this does sound true. That's how I got ripped on a game shipped to Australia. $8 shipped and it cost me like $7 to ship it there....grrrr. Guess I should have checked the shipping price first. So now I try not to include shipping when posting there.

I'm going to wait awhile, I think we can get at least 30 people, if not more for this.  The more, the cheaper the shirts for all of us.  I don't have a profile at digitalsuckfest, so if someone else does, go ahead and post there and send them here.  If we get enough people it may very well be 6 per shirt.

Perhaps we should post what our firm orders/price range would be at a set time period from now?  (Nothing set in stone, but if everyone can commit it would be good for knowing what numbers.)

I'm not sure about tradability, though I suppose so.  One thing I know is these shirts can never be pawned off as legit, so that rules.  Okay, I'll assume you're going to get five then because that will increase the numbers.

Well, I'm saying that a year or so down the road all those that didn't buy a shirt will be kicking themselves and they would be more collectible. (Like what happens when someone makes home brewn NES games and no one orders.)   I'm not saying everyone should claim they are the originals.  Actually with the tag ebing different it should be obvious.

If you are worried about them being passed off as legit you need to put your notice somewhere in the graphics. If its at the bottom it could be removed without affecting the rest of the graphics. Put "nesworld.com" somewhere hard to find so you won't be able to see it unless you know where to look. If you do something like that I'll take a dozen.

I'm still not sure if they can pull off the colored shirts, it may not look right and the colors will have to be altered to make it fit.  Anyone who wants one like that is likely going to have to pay more, I'm getting mine made just as it was.

Stan, do you think setting up a Paypal fund for this would be appropriate? We could just estimate the cost per shirt based on preorders, then when we're ready to go refunds could just be issued if we get a cheaper price. So long as the account stays under I think $300 paypal won't take a cut either. That way there's no "wait and see" and this doesn't stall out for lack of money orders like I get the icky feeling it might.

We could just use my account.  I was going to take it right out using my Paypal debit card when I pay for the shirts and do refunds or whatever needs to be done.  The problem with estimaing the price is we're not sure exactly how many people will want this.  I can't just assume 200 when only 30 decide to do it because then everyone has to pay a bundle more.  And, I'm not going to make everyone pay 14 dollars if there are only 12 interested, which then changes to 10 dollars when 5 more get interested.  It will only get confusing.  They can't quote an exact amount until I know how many people want shirts and HOW they want them because some want different colors and will have to pay a bit extra.

just make a deadline for when to sign up or whatever. and then you know how many shirts are wanted and then you will know the price. and then give a couple of days for people to send there payments.

Not shaking the boat or anything but how much more will it cost for a different color?  Will it be a steep amount like $5 or more per shirt?

We will worry about this once we get the number we need.  Just got the quote.  If we get 50 people, it will be $12.92 per shirt.  For 100, it will be less than half of that.  So, all we need is 100 people, or at least that many shirts between everyone.  Thus far we're well on our way.

Its all about production, man, to make 50 shirts it cost a lot more labor and machine wise than 100, that is why more shirts the better.

If we have to cancel and wait, and everyone is willing to wait until March or April, I will buy 50 shirts at $6 apiece to get our order to 100 shirts. (Provided I am done my academy and know I am permanently employed.)

You're not really getting buy one get one free, you're simply getting more than one shirt at half the cost.  If we get 50 DIFFERENT people, each wanting one shirt, that's currently 12.72 per shirt.  If we get 50 ADDITIONAL people, this price is cut in half and then everyone is paying around 6 dollars per shirt.  If you want more than one this will drop the cost for everyone, so if you decide that, out of 100 shirts being order, you want 10, you'll be paying 60 dollars.  Make sense?

By the way, on the first page I'm continuously updating the list and adding more to the total number of shirts being ordered thus far, so keep checking.

I said in the design itself not under the design that isn't good enough. Someone could remove it if its under the design.

How in the hell do you remove silkscreen?  You'd have to cut a hole in the shirt.  Got you, par.

Okay man.  A razor blade?  Are you just arguing at this point because you don't want to be wrong?  If you took a razorblade to the shirt, you'd end up damaging some of the shirt in the process, especially if the design is freshly printed.  Silk screen doesn't start to come off for hundreds of washes, so unless you want to end up making the whole thing look like crap before scratching it off, it's not going to happen.  Who in the world has even thought of something so stupid?

hey bro. ok i had slight change of plans for my gameroom. seems that a couch isnt going to fit very good in it so im changing my room to have 2 recliners instead. so therefore i have no need for foot rests. so i need to take my order back down to 1 shirt. very sorry about that but i didnt know until now. thanks!

I didn't invent this. I actually get this idea from my customers. Here in the ghetto its common practice to remove an ex-players name from a jersey in this manner ie Tim Couch.

We have had members here who take the time to reseal games why wouldn't someone take the time to remove a small logo. EVERYONE has access to a razor not everyone has access to a shrinkwrap machine.

Anybody here could easily have NWC shirts printed for themselves any way they wanted...with or without the NESWorld logo, and then could make money selling them.  It's not like Stan has the only high quality NWC picture and is the only one who can make the shirts.......

Plus the most important thing, these shirts will be two colors less than the original, can't change that easily.

Now that is a sure bet. I'm happy with that.

On a side note. Since you have the website printed on the shirt do you think Nintendo will care? I'm not sure what lengths Nintendo go to on issues like this but I know firsthand Disney and Warner Bros go way overboard as far as civil lawsuits are concerned.

Depends on whether or not you're making the shirts to profit off their sale. If so, you could get hit. If not, then I believe you can continue to have them produced until your heart's content. Now, the shirt shop that's making them might have issues to worry about.

From a legal standpoint it makes no difference. What matters is if Nintendo really cares or not. This I don't know. I wouldn't try to pull something like this with Disney or Warner Bros.

I used to work at a carnival store and Dinsey calls every store in the nation and asks them if they have a Mickey Mouse costume for rent. If they do they get poped as they never endorsed a Mickey Mouse costume. My 185th store landlord owns a mens clothing store and was poped for 8 counterfit warner bros shirts sold by a another clothing store vendor down the street. He explained he didn't know and handed them over. They thanked him and handed him a bill for $8000 or $1000.00 per shirt.  

Yeah so I'm paranoid but if one costume is enough for Disney and 8 shirts enough for Warner Bros putting your signature name on 50+ Nintendo shirts and sending them who knows where could be asking for trouble. Don't get me wrong I think it would be great exposure to have such a shirt but I don't want to see you get in trouble for this either. If you aren't sure (I am not sure) then ask someone who would know who you trust before you attempt this.

You want to know about bootlegging, ask a bootlegger. Anyone here do this kind of thing for bands or festivals or stuff? Come on, some hippies selling shirts for grass money, anyone? :)

I worked at a mom and pop costume and carnival store not a chain. One costume for rental is all it takes for Disney. I don't know if they still do it but they called every shop with a listed phone number nationwide!

If you guys aren't worried hell I'd love to have the shirts. It is something to think about though. Ask the guy at assembler about his run in with Nintendo and the bill they sent him for their legal fees.
