Title: Limbo's 'I Finally Found Stuff in the Wild' Thread
Post by Limbofunk on 01. Oct 2006 at 21:25
Okay, after going all summer and finding nothing for the NES in the wild (Other than a Boxed copy of ChessMaster for $1), I finally got something worthwhile at a town-wide garage sale yesterday.  Out of all the sales I went to, only two had anything for Nintendo, and the one had obviously been picked through.

I wound up getting everything CIB:
8 Eyes
Abadox
Astyanax
The Black Bass
Ceasar's Palace
Championship Bowling
Clash at Demonhead
Conquest of the Crystal Palace
Eliminator Boat Duel (No Instructions)
Faxanadu
Ghosts & Goblins
Pinball
Pipe Dream
Road Blasters
Shadowgate
Silver Surfer
Snake Rattle & Roll
Swords and Serpents
Xexyz
Zoda's Revenge

All for 50$..unfortunately, most of the boxes are faded quite a bit on their spines...they must have been exposed to the sun for quite a while.  But all in all it wasn't too bad of a deal.

On a side note, I wound up winning two semi-large auctions on random controllers.

This one had 7 NES Controllers and 8 Genesis

and this one was too colorful to pass up  :)

The other day I found Laser Invasion complete, Namco Pacs and the boxed collectors set of How to Win at Nintendo games as well as How to Win at Sports.  All for 10, not bad.

Cool stuff Stan, are there three of four volumes of the "How to Win at Nintendo Games' series?

Amazingly, I found some games at a local goodwill where the only thing I had found previously was a sealed Super Sprint...they must have fired the person/people who would take all the games before they hit the shelves...either that or they're on vacation.  I wound up getting:
Xenophobe
Super Off-Road
The Blue Marlin
Fisher-Price - I Can Remember

for $3.84 total

That is some sweet games for dirt cheap.  Blue Marlin brings over 10 by itself most the time.  Good pick up.  The goodwills near me never have any game stuff :'(

I'm still waiting for my Bubble Bobble 2 in the wild, they're out there it's not that rare.

Today I got SNES Tetris+Dr. Mario for $1.99 and PS1 Street Fighter Plus EX A for $2.99 twas happiness.

Best wild finds for NES were Duck Tales 2, Dragon Warrior 2, Big Nose Freaks and the assorted valuable commons (contra, bubble bobble, mega man 4-5-6) pretty often. All these are usually $1.99. Yard sales a lot of the time, sometimes pawns (seldom but sometimes).
