Title: Bunch of NES accessories
Post by Speedy_NES on 04. Oct 2006 at 14:50
I got a bunch of NES accessories in today:

Most of them are from Tynstar from RFGen who has been nice enough to help me out with getting accessories from the US (to save shipping or when the seller doesn't want to ship outside the US).  The Action 52 is the Rev.A variant that I still needed, too :)

I also got the set of Wisdom Tree boxes and manuals that some others on these forums also bought from eBay.  All in all a good day :)  (except I had to pay 20 euro in customs fees, but that's likely due to a change in Belgian customs policy :().

The one with the LCD display lets you record combos I think, like sequences of movement & buttons, and it gives you the option for slow-motion, turbo fire, and a few other things like locking a particular button (not sure why that would be useful though).

Pretty nice score :) And jajaja took the words right out of my mouth when he said "speedboard". What is the exact use of that thing?

The Speedboard lets you use your index and middle fingers to press the A & B buttons and the directional pad, instead of your thumbs.  I guess they thought you'd be more flexible and rapid when using those fingers.  I may have to give it a try sometime, but I'd still prefer to use my feet with the Footpedal if I can't use my thumbs on the normal controller ;)

Also, for those wondering, that Power Clip aka Power Booster lets you put permanent pressure on one of the two buttons, aka rapid fire without using your fingers ;)  Pretty bulky item for a little task like that, tho.
