Title: What games was this? Post by 350F on 06. Oct 2006 at 05:14
I just ran to a local game store and picked up galaga for the october contest. Well they had another shelf with kinda rare games. I was in a hurry and my g/f was throwing a fit that i was there anyways so i didn't get a chance to really look at it. It was the same style case as bible adventures with the rounded/wide thumb grip spot, but it was gray, not blue or black. I almost think it was a surfboarding or some sort of game with a guy holding something in his hand. the label was mostly yellow and orange. Maybe someone knows what i'm talking about. I might go back tomorrow and pick it up if its rare b/c it was only ~$8. Thanks!

I don't think so. And doesn't Toobin only come in the normal black Tengen form? This was light grey with the wisdom tree type case.

Ok, i'm looking on the store's website and i found one game that could possibly be it
http://www.tradengames.com/productcart/pc/viewPrd.asp?idcategory=142&idproduct=2507 Shockwave Which, isn't that rare afterall. But i could have sworn the thumb grib on the top was twice as wide like the wisdom tree games....Any grey carts like that? |

Yes, some japanese ripoffs use a case like this. Here's Dain's scan:
http://www.nintendoage.com/index.cfm?FuseAction=NES.CartTypes&Cart_Type_ID=16 browse those "matching games" you may find your label. |

Bah, maybe it was shockwave, the case looked just like the American Game Cart, but i thought the thumb grip was wider. That hong kong one doesn't have the rounded grip.

Trade-n-Games is a member over at DP :) I sold him an extra Jimmy Connor's Tennis box that I had. That's his website and his shop is down in the St. Louis area. Is that where you are from 350F? I'm going to St. Louis on Tuesday and I'm thinking about stopping in at his store. Maybe we could meet up ;)

Hey, yeah, i live about 2 miles from there. His store is the only place in the area that actually has reasonably priced games. Where are you from, and what brings you to the st. louis area? :D
