Title: 3 in 1 code question Post by jajaja on 06. Oct 2006 at 15:10
Today i recived the 3 in 1 game (SMB/Tetris/World cup) PAL-A version. I already had it, but not the manual so i bought another copy where the manual was included.
When i get it i see the code is AUS-1, my previous copy is GBR. Both is bought from Australia so i thought maybe the GBR was from England, BUT.. i now know there is a UKV version too. Is it possible that this game was sold seperatly there too? I dont know of this bundle in England, but it was sold in Australia atleast. Possible that the GBR was used in the first batch of the PAL toploader and was later changed to AUS-1? |

Jajaja, I suggest you take a look at these threads. This very thing is being discussed over at nintendoage now as there is a big question about all of the different region codes. They don't have anything to do with the SMB/Tetris/WC game but maybe you can jump in and give your opinion and find out over there ;) Sorry I can't help you out anymore than that :-/

Here is a possible solution, just guessing though. One could have been packed in with the NES's, and the other could have been the version that came boxed for sale.

Well, he's talking about the PAL-A codes, and the only known copy released on its own is the Spanish PAL-B version. |

I know Speedy....but I was just thinking that could be a possible explaintion as to why. There could be a PAL-A box, maybe we just haven't found it yet. We keep finding new stuff, especially lately, so it might be possible. But like I say, just a guess ;)

Cool, tnx :) Didnt know N.A had a forum. Both backside on AUS-1 and GBR got EAI-1 code. Does anyone know if this 3 in 1 game was bundled in UK? If not, its a big chance that it was sold seperatly in UK too. |

That's true Jason, ya never know :)
By the way jajaja, I did a quick search on ebay.co.uk and came across this auction: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Nintendo-Nes-Super-Set-18-Games-4-player-boxed-set_W0QQitemZ320033917162QQihZ011QQcategoryZ3617QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem I assume the 3-in-1 came with that package, so I guess it was sold in a bundle in the UK. |

Thanks for that :) Ye, looks like it was bundled with it, its even included in the auction. That is most likely where the UKV comes in. Now i wonder if the GBR version was bundled with the australian toploader too..
