Thanks guys!
check this out... I think this is reasonable bubble bobble part 2 for 55.00. just bought from the seller - http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ih=008&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWN%3AIT&viewitem=&item=180053397646&rd=1&rd=1 |

The shipping cost would normally make people skip the auction...good total price for it, you'll likely make more if you resell it with proper shipping :P

Wtf, $55 Shipping..?
|
|
Title: Re: hi all... ebay pickins. Post by the_wizard_666 on 20. Nov 2006 at 07:22
Yeah, it's obviously ripoff shipping...but it backfired, because he's not getting any more than $56...he could've easily got $80-100, or more, if he listed it with the real shipping cost.

Title: Re: hi all... ebay pickins. Post by dgordon86 on 20. Nov 2006 at 07:24
Well, I emailed the seller asking if he would end auction for 50.00 dollars. He was up for it. So relisted as a 99cent auction and 55.00 for shipping just so the auction wouldn't look out of the ordinary while browsing (I guess?)
I was afraid someone would snatch the second it went up, so I went along with what he said. We talked on the phone for a moment and I guess he got the game at a yard sale with about thirty other titles. :P |

heres what I found today. ..
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ih=011&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWA%3AIT&viewitem=&item=320050993416&rd=1&rd=1 I have no clue about foreign games, was this a decent buy? |
|
Title: Re: hi all... ebay pickins. Post by the_wizard_666 on 26. Nov 2006 at 01:46
Decent price. It's not a foreign title, just an unlicenced one. Pretty shitty one too. If you decide to break the seal, let me know the contents of it...a pic of the insides would be fine for an unlicenced game...the inserts didn't have codes like the licenced ones do.
Oh, and you gotta love where he says "This may be the last sealed copy" right beside "Condition: The condition is great. We have tested it to make sure that it works perfect! " ;D |
|
Title: Re: hi all... ebay pickins. Post by dgordon86 on 26. Nov 2006 at 05:49
yeah, I read that line about testing and I was like pft.
I'm going to keep it sealed for the time being. I tested it through an emulator and I think it's worth more (to me) sealed then opened and playable. The menu was horrible and the loud shriek when the guy died was too much. The whole thing reaks of a 70's science fiction movie if you ask me. |

My ex gf bought me a complete Cheetahmen II once for x-mass, logged into my ebay account and checked watchlist. I was talking about it and she surprised me by buying it for me, that was really nice of here and i totally flipped! |

Title: Re: hi all... ebay pickins. Post by NationalGameDepot on 09. Jan 2007 at 13:10
That isn't a bad price for all those games. They all look to be in good shape and Ghost Lion is a pretty hard to find box too. I would say good pickup. Balloon Fight is worth around 15 CIB also so you done good 8-)

Title: Re: hi all... ebay pickins. Post by dgordon86 on 09. Jan 2007 at 21:45
Woo! I just emailed the seller and she said the boxes were in excellent shape with minimal wear. Can't wait to cash that friday's paycheck and send through paypal :)
I'm quite surprised I never heard of ghost lion, can't wait to test it out though. "A long time ago, a ghostly White Lion attacked Maria's village. A hero appeared and drove the lion away. But Maria's parents wanted to find out where the Lion came from and what its purpose was. They set out on a journey, and never returned. One day, Maria decides to go look for them. As she begins her journey, a bridge gives way beneath her, and she is washed away by a strong river current. She awakens in a strange new world...and must find her way home, while looking for her lost parents and the mysterious White Lion." The digitpress guide said the game was dev. like 3 years before it's release date ('93), and the graphics are somewhat dated..Will be an interesting play. Thanks NGD! |

With the amount of items I find and get excited about, I think I may be spamming the board... let me know.
This guy had another auction with 22 boxed games, a nintendo, and more..Fair price, but I didn't want to be in the poor house for 2 weeks because of one auction. Though, I knew If I sat and waited for a CIB copy of Zelda, it would come. Never dreamed of it being close it MINT. Cannot wait to pay for and receive. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ih=014&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWN%3AIT&viewitem=&item=330073068497&rd=1&rd=1 |

in my opinion, not the best price, but a price i'm willing to pay for a good conditioned ice climber box. |

All black box games are hard to find in good shape and that one looks very nice, not a bad price for the condition at all IMO,

Said there were a few boxes, but I never imagined what i'd find! Seems like I made out with some of the more popular titles. Everything is in NM condition with all razor sharp edges. Very nice people too. Both the nintendo systems are in excellent working condition, and the carts are in great condition for resales. happy :) --- Then heres a couple of games I bought on ebay (s. previous posts) The five game auction including ghost lion and balloon fight never went through :'( Paid on the 11th and haven't recieved anything. Just filed a claim today...don't know what the hell is going to happen, the seller closed his ebyy account and paypal...sigh. |

You'd have to pry it from my cold hands (cold because of playing)
haha. I'll replace the CL pics with better tomorrow. I was so happy last night I had to slap something up :) |

put a bid in higher than what I wanted to, but glad I finally got Mario Bros. complete
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ih=020&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWN%3AIT&viewitem=&item=300072895315&rd=1&rd=1 Just noticed one of the bidders is from another board (dp). so far I have Golf Volleyball Pro Wrestling Ice Climber Super Mario Bros. Pinball Duckhunt I'm really sad balloon fight never made it's way into my collection, out of all the black box games I was looking forward to that title the most. little side question: If the seller doesnt respond to my paypal dispute how likely am I to get my money back? They are no longer registered and never sent me a deliv. conf. number... 24 posi feedback, 100%.. |

You will win the case 100% sure, but its no guarantee that you will get any money back. If the seller have emptied his/hers Paypal account there is nothing to recover so you wont get a cent :( Have happend to me a few times, luckily it wasnt any large sums. |

Title: Re: Gordon's finds. Post by dgordon86 on 28. Jan 2007 at 17:47
Damnit...
It's 28 bucks.. a lot for a 20 year old student. hah. Is there any way I can find the seller's personal information, either thru paypal or ebay? Maybe I can narrow down phone number for her state/area. |

Title: Re: Gordon's finds. Post by jajaja on 28. Jan 2007 at 18:25
I think i've lost around 30 dollars myself. Not really that much, but it does sux :( When you win/sell something you will get an e-mail with the contact information. Its also possible to recieve the info through Ebay (dont remember how, check Ebay help, but its possible for sure), however, i dont know if you can if the seller/buyer is deleted.

I was fortunate enough to have the payment reversed by paypal. I simply think the person who sold me the lot (chessmaster, balloonfight, ghost lion, etc.) needed to close their account right away and just forgot, or saw I got a good price and withheld.
anyways, this find makes me happy after the fact.. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ih=019&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWN%3AIT&viewitem=&item=290078091808&rd=1&rd=1 I needed radracer, rambo, and DK3 for the collection. oh, and thanks for the pricing on DK3 burnambill333 :) I would have went for a much crappier deal if it hadn't been for you. |
