I have lately been playing a few absolutely shitty games that aren't so shitty once you play them for a bit.  It started with Conan...figured out what to do, and I rather enjoyed it...enough to make it my pick for Game of the Week on NESForums.  Then this weekend I scored a Cliffhanger cart, and promptly beat it.  So I started playing Predator, and guess what...I'm enjoying that one too.  So what other games do people find shitty after the first 5 minutes, but if they keep playing it turns out decent?  I'm not talking best game ever, but playable.  I'm curious...want to know what else I should pop in here...

Jaws, most of the WT games, and Silent Service do that to me.  Actually, WT games were more popular in my house than  SMB 3 sometimes.  I am from a Christian family but even my atheistic cousins loved Exodus.

Actually, the WT games aren't that bad...it's the bible theme that gets them a bad rap.  But then I've only played BA, Exodus, and KoK...not much experience outside of that :P  

Back To The Future - it's good until you get to the last part. >:(

I know many people will disagree with me here, but Dr. Jekyll & Mr. Hyde is okay once you know how everything works - then you get to the 2nd to last stage. ::) Then the last stage. >:(

I'm also a big fan of WWF Wrestlemania. I have no idea why. It's reaaaaaally bad.

I've always thought Wrestlemania was the best WWF-licenced game on the NES.  The tournament mode makes it :P

I just spent the last hour playing Superman...it's actually not as bad as people say it is.  WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY better than Superman 64 :P

As for WWF, Wrestlemania Challenge seems like the best in my opinion.  Then again, I've only played the two mentioned.

Wrestlemania is always one that I pick back up from time to time. But why? I always get my ass kicked by Bam Bam Bigelow anyways. What's the point in playing if I can only make it to the second wrestler? But..for some strange reason, I keep trying and trying and trying...but to no avail..

Another one that grows on me is Wario Woods. I just..can't..Seem..to..PuT iT .. ... DowN!! ....

Really?  I got bored with Wario's Woods...half an hour and I was good.  And you can't beat Bam Bam?  Damn...I usually don't get crappity smacked over unless it's Andre, Hogan, or Macho Man.

I play as Macho Man, so that rules him out.  For some reason Andre seems harder than Hogan.  Probably because he's so freakin' huge.  Can you even pick him up?

Yeah, but he's a bit of a bitch sometimes.  Wrestlemania is probably the only wrestling game that the characters are noticably different, beyond graphics and a couple moves.  If you can win with the Honkey Tonk Man, you're a better gamer than if you beat it with Hogan or Andre (as it should be) :P

I remember trying out Pyramid once, and thinking it was just a Tetris clone.  But then it turned out to be real friggen hard, at least for me.  I think I tried it for a good 2 hours before giving up, as I don't think I could even beat the first level.  Maybe I just can't think diagonially?

i popped in battle of olympus when i was testing a system out, not really intending to play it, but it was pretty cool.  kind of like zelda 2.  i was expecting a crapfest, but now i think i am going to play it more.

I'm guessing you mean Bam Bam...I utilize a stick-and-move strategy...he's so agile, and that cartwheel's a bitch, but if you hit him and get out of the way, at least long enough to weaken him for the big moves, you should be good.  Beyond that, I can't say...haven't played in a few months, and I think I played as Bam Bam...did good until Andre raped me.

I would have to say Pro Wrestling. I came with a lot of games I purchased and  I popped it in to test it out and me and my room mates ended up playing  it all night.

Another game is Mickey Mousecapade and Mappy Land for some reason I just like playing them.
