Some of you already know that i won a factory sealed Quattro Arcade on Ebay last week for $11.50 US.

Got it today and thought that I'd share some pics of when i opened it.
Sorry for the bad picture quality, only cam i got is the one in my cell.

Factory sealed.

Removed plastic on top so that I could open it up.

Contents;

*flashing screen note,

*Camerica Warrenty registration card, front,

and back (wonder what would happen if I sent it in? :D ),

*manual,

*Quattro Arcade poster,

and off couse the Sealed cartridge. Front,

and back.

Closeup of sticker on back holding the plastic together.

Cartridge out of plastic, front (No, I didn't break the sticker, I cut the plastic open. ;) )

and back.

Booting it up for the first time ever. :)

Don't take this the wrong way bud.....but why did you open a sealed game? Granted I'm not one myself to sit around with a bunch of sealed games because I feel games are for playing first and collecting second. You could of easily bought just the cart for a $1 and left the sealed game intact. Oh well I am just curious. Awesome score anyway bud. ;)

I think I have quite a good explanation; I've never opened a new NES-game in my entire life. Never ever.
I never had a NES as a kid so this was both getting a bit of history and a bit cheaper than opening up a sealed SMB1. ;)

I open every sealed game that comes into my hands. And yes, if I ever had a sealed Stadium Events, I'd open it. It's about the best way to get a CIB mint copy of a game. Plus, I'm making a list of game contents...so anyone else who does this, let me know what's in the games...even if I have them listed, I'll accept games, as later print runs will sometimes have different stuff inside. I believe Widar here was allowing me to list this copy, I just want to verify before I do (too lazy to look back through the other threads). You (like everyone else to contribute) will be credited with the opening if you wish to be added to the list :)

I agree with that - I'm surprised there aren't more CIB collectors opening sealed games. I've seen mint completes of certain games go for as much as sealed copies and it just makes me wonder why anyone would buy the unsealed/used over the sealed/new when the price difference (depending on the title) is sometimes negligible/zero. For example dkazz1's ducktales 2 went for $75 or thereabouts. I've seen sealed copies for less. So why not get the truly mint one - ie the sealed one? I think a lot of people just aren't educated as to what games go for what prices sealed and just assumed that sealed is way more expensive... that's not always the case. Sometimes, as you suggest, its a pretty darn good way to get a truly mint and truly complete CIB.

Widar - Adding it here...it'll be the first one I get a duplicate of...have one pending in myself that cost me a DS game...who knows, maybe it'll have different stuff in it :P

Bronty - Not only that, it makes the collections of you sealed collectors worth more ;) Not to mention the games that are rarer opened than sealed. I mean really, how many French Canadian Kirby's Adventure do you see unsealed...Cheetahmen II is another example, although that one at least the reasoning is fairly obvious :P

;) hehe. I guess there would be a point where that's true. But there's enough sealed stuff out there that it wouldn't really matter except on really hard to find games :o

Yeah, but on those games, I don't think there's much difference between a CIB and a F/S anyway, price wise. I'm sure you'd make back what you paid on that Stadium Events if you ever opened it up :P
