Hi,just noticed there are 2 different boxes for tengen unliscensed pac-man.
I don`t collect variations so I`ll probably only keep one and trade the other,so wanted to know which is harder to find.

Wow. I haven't seen the one on the right; maybe that's rare.

The 10th Annversary one is much harder to find. The other ones shows up pretty often in fact.

Am I right in saying the one on the right is the grey cart version that was relesed?

Both of these are the unlicensed tengen versions...the licensed tengen boxes weren't gold in color around the border. As far as anyone knows, both of these versions have the same cartridge and manual art.
