This first one isn't exactly a 'find' but I finally got shelving set up to display my collection.  After a few trips to the Home Depot, and some setting up, I have an entire wall devoted to it.  I am currently removing it from the boxes it was in, and putting it up in alphabetical order.  As you can see in the picture, I am only have 2/10 boxes set up thus far.

Just got a copy of Beggar Prince in the mail today.  This game is SWEET.  If you've been considering picking it up but haven't yet I definitely recommend doing so soon before the 2nd and final print run is sold out.

In the past month I've gotten N64 Not For Resale demos (store kiosk copies) of Donkey Kong 64, Pokemon Stadium 2, Banjo Kazooie, Banjo Tooie, Diddy Kong Racing, and Turok 2.  I've also managed to find Mario Party 2, Mario Party 3, Zelda OoT, and Zelda MM which I am awaiting to recieve in the mail.  I paid a roughly $20 for each of these demos.

Lot of 50 NintenDogs Relay Version

Boxed Snow Brothers (NES)

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=220059967658

Complete & Perfect Mint copy of Jack Bros (Virtual Boy).  I paid a little more than I normally would for this game because of the great condition that it is in.

The shelving looks nice...how much did everything cost and how long did you make each row?  Also, how many rows are there?  It looks like the true number may have been cut off by the camera

Title: Re: BurnamBill333's Finds
Post by burnambill333 on 20. Dec 2006 at 23:09
There are 9 rows of shelving, going all the way across the wall, starting 2 feet above the floor to the ceiling.  Everything cost me about $125ish all together.  It only took a few hours to put up the shelves.  Make sure you screw them into the wall studs if you're considering doing the same thing.

Here is a final picture of my shelving all set up with the collection being displayed in perfect alphabetical order.............from 10 Yard Fight to Zombie Nation!

It looks very nice...hard to tell the overall effect without seeing the rest of the room but I'm sure it looks great regardless.  You should try investing in either some common bookends or possibly try to find somewhere that makes custom ones perhaps?  The crooked nes boxes make it look a little sloppy.

I purposely left the boxes crooked because when I eventually track down the remaining boxes I need, they will straighten all out.  Speaking of boxes, my recent eBay grabs.  Certainly not killer deals, but I'm trying to track down some of the harder to find boxes that I don't have:

120073176490 130 Boxed Games, 113 of which are CIB $685 shipped ($5.27 per game)
200065687421 Might & Magic CIB $16.51 shipped
150078401881 Uncharted Waters CIB $27 shipped
290066811175 Bonk's Adventure Empty Box $22 shipped
330074797224 Mario's Time Machine CIB (seems to be a minty copy) $70 shipped
250071069436 Ninja Gaiden 3 Ancient Ship Of Doom W/ Box $25 shipped

Does that Uncharted Waters have the map?  Pretty obvious the Might & Magic doesn't, but still decent prices :)

Title: Re: BurnamBill333's Finds
Post by burnambill333 on 15. Jan 2007 at 04:58
As far as I know the Uncharted Waters does not come with the map, but judging by the pictureless description and vague mentioning of box/instructions I wouldn't be surprised if it arrived with the map.  Here's hoping.........

Finds since my last post:
280068153780 65 Empty Boxes - $108 shipped
320069739446 6 Boxed Games, 4 Empty Boxes - $28 shipped

All duplicate boxes will go up for trade soon along with the duplicate manuals I have.  If you couldn't already tell I'm trying to track down the rest of the boxes I need.

I would like first crack at your dup boxes if I can get it.  I still have several for trade also, or I am game to buy them for sure if you have any I need.  Good pickup.

We will see.........   FYI I'll be trading them, not selling.

I purchased a CIB Fisher-Price: Firehouse Rescue for $13.01.  I beat out Nistle as the high bidder.  Sorry man but this is a harder to find box.  Plus I remember playing the game in kindergarten on an apple computer.  Glad I got it.

Very tough box.  I would have bid more than that if I saw the auction.  Good pick up.

The Bandai MUSCLE box is really cooool. I know chubby cherub is a htf box, what about the above?

I very rarely see bandai stuff.

Title: Re: BurnamBill333's Finds

MUSCLE is a relatively difficult to find box.  It has the same design style as Chubby Cherub but isn't rare like the Cherub box.  NintendoAGE gives the MUSCLE box a 7/10 for rarity.

The earlier bandai boxes are prob my favorite in design out of any of the lic nes boxes. For me, they family the best.

hmm..I just happened to be flipping through my newly acquired Official Nintendo Player's guide and noticed they have a half-page describing MUSCLE. neat. I'll have to keep my eyes open for a complete :-D

280090548447 - Ai Senshi Nicol FDS Game - This is one of my favorite games, unfortunately it was only available for the Disk System.  I've had a saved search for it for a while, and this is the first I've seen it.  There's nothing too special about it....other than that I've been waiting for a while for one to pop up.

140091387795 and 140091386913 - Jet Force Gemini and Mario Tennis NFR Demos - I'm getting dangerously close to having all the N64 NFR demos!

260088520007 THIS IS MY BIGGEST PURCHASE ON EBAY EVER.  Over 400 NES Games, Many Accessories, and one of the games is NTSC Stadium Events.  I figured since I usually buy and resale anyway, and still needed a Stadium Events cartridge, this was a wise buy.  I also think I got a good price on it, seeing as how SE is a $800 game these days.  I also picked this up locally and didn't have to pay $300 for shipping.

how did he have such a large nes collection, including a stadium events, and not know enough about it to make a big deal?  he didn't even have a picture of it!  i'd say you killed on that one, especially considering you picked it up.  buying and selling is the only way to collect IMO, and you should do very well on that one.  congrats.

I know, usually when this happens you automatically assume the game is PAL and the seller is trying to pull a fast one.  That's what I thought at first too, until I was emailed the pictures.  Even then I would have still had my suspicions, but the seller agreed to local pickup, so I highly doubt he was trying to pull something with local pickup.

He knew it was rare, but didn't seem to realize HOW rare and sought after it was until after he listed it.  He said a friend of his who used to own a game store let him take home a couple games for helping him out with something, and he chose it from the wall because he didn't have it in his collection already.  He said he counted 120 different people emailing him asking about Stadium Events throughout the duration of the auction.  That's a lot of people!

burnambill333, keep track on how much you sell the extra games for, it would be nice to see how much you make from selling allt the stuff from that auction! :)

Some really nice boxes came in today for me, all in really nice condition.  The Clu Clu Land and Urban Champion are both condition upgrades for me, and are both in fabulous condition.  The Chubby Cherub box is new for me and is in 8/10 condition with hang tab still in tact.  The Godzilla 2 box is also about 8/10 condition.  I'm stoked!

I will keep this simple, I hate you 8-)  I need all of those but Urban still.  Great pickups for sure.  This would have fuined my day but I got in a Tagin Dragon, Death Race, Operation Secret Storm all CIB, and a MUSCLE box today myself so I am happy.  Great finds Nick.

NGD, I thought you had a Clu Clu Land that you bought off ebay?

Title: Re: BurnamBill333's Finds
Post by NationalGameDepot on 19. Apr 2007 at 22:03
I did, but I sent it back.  They said the box was mint but the whole hangtab was ripped off and so was half of the top flap.  No way I was paying 40 for a trashed boxed.  So I had to file a dispute and get my money back.  Sucks cause I thought I had a steal for 40, I hate people.

Hounder: I PMed you about my extra Clu Clu Land CIB game.  It's also missing the hang tab on the box unfortunately, although I wouldn't say it's "trashed" like the one NGD got.

So happy to get Chubby Cherub, you have no idea.

I got that Official Player's Guide too and I love it. I always flip through it. It's my original guide because I got the NES that came with that instead of the usual Mario/Duck Hunt

I basically emptied my bank account for a little bit, but resold everything and made most (if not all) of my money back.  I didn't keep track of how much I made like I should have but I made *close* to what I paid for it all after reselling.  So basically I got a great price on a SE cartridge after much work reselling.

Of course I had to shell out some cash for gas, but I'd rather do that and spend the day driving than pay the $300 shipping he was asking.  Sheesh!

Yea very true shipping is the worst of all. Sometimes it could be more then an auction goes for.

Congrats on that deal man. I'd be so psyched if / when I win something like that.

My first arcade machine - Kangaroo by Atari (1982)
Just picked this machine up today. It's in great cosmetic condition, works perfect. Has coin mechanism and keys. Very minor marks, and minor screen burn. Overall beautiful condition. Just look at that picture! I'm in love.
