Post by magoo8301 on 24. Dec 2006 at 19:10
Ive never been interested in sealed games untill recently  But have no idea on what prices are on sealed game.  I know some are $$$  while others are 0.0$.   Is there a price guide for sealed games?

I don`t know much about sealed games either but I`ve found that the ones that bring in the most money are either very rare or very popular games like zelda, finalal fantasy, mega man etc.
For more common games like rocketeer, sealed games sell for not much more than a minty CIB copy so probably around 10-20$.
If you have any questions about sealed games,Bronty, who is a member here, probably has one of the largest sealed collections and I`m sure he would be glad to help you out.

20 bucks.   Jordan's right in that its not an in-demand title sealed or otherwise.

Sealed games are probably only for two reasons:

1. You are a collector

2. You are a pretentious little prick who hates to play used games.

But even then, still, I don't think I would open something up that's nearly 20 years old!!

The most expensive sealed game you'll probably see is Final Fantasy. Last time I checked they go for 500 big ones! Second is Super Mario 3 which I think go for around $200-$300 (which I would be stupid enough to pay for too  ;D)

There are tons of sealed games that bring over 500 bucks, many of the black box titles do.  Bronty paid several 1000 for a sealed SE a few months back.  Sealed stuff is just for collectors, but I do know a few people who buy them just to open them and document what is inside aka wizard666.

Heh, not to mention so I can get a mint complete copy on my shelf ;)  It's a two-way street here :P

But yeah, if anyone opens a sealed game, let me know so I can get a nice list of the contents of the game finished up.

Yah I'm a real stickler for condition - if it were economical to do so I'd buy two copies of every game - one sealed and one loose-and-cheapest-possible. Then I'd crack the sealed, replace the mint cart with the loosey and resell as a CIB to recoup costs. I'm going for complete NM or better, I'm constantly buying doubles so I can compare and improve condition, on my variants too.

Well im bidding on Adventure Island,  Alpha Mission , and Tiger Helie all sealed.  What would be overpaying for each?  Im definatly not in a hurry to get these if i cant get a deal then oh well ill stop bidding.  I think i bid around $5 on each.  the only one i can see going for any amount to me would be Adventure Island..
