I am curious to see what ppl on here do for a living.
Seems a lot of ppl are able to spend a lot of coin on collecting...and its not just NES stuff! ;D
Or maybe they just spend a lot and then penny-pinch on some other stuff to compensate!
I know I've bought stuff I couldnt resist and then I had to eat $1.39 cheeseburgers from Mcdonalds for a week till I got paid. :-/

well im in law enforcement  and support a family of 4...Ive spent quite a few dollars on stuff  but only when I have the money I dont buy stuff unless I have the money on hand to spend. If you wait you can pick stuff up for a decent price  just have to let stuff you would like to have pass...I did pay 500.00 for my stadium events  and complete caltron  but I had the money on hand at the time to pay for them...I think when you say there are a lot that pay some major coin on collecting I tend to wonder myself where they work.
But if you have free time  to spend looking on ebay  there is money to be made by buying up lots and selling seperate  but it is a lot of time consuming work..

Im a screen printer.

I build Custom Inground Swiming pools.  I also service and repair ingrounds.  So basically im  Pool Boy.

i dose monkeys, dogs, rats and mice with test drugs for a big pharmaceutical company.  collecting nes games really takes my mind away from it...but its sad i am so desensitized to all of it.  whenever i "feel" a little bit, i remember i have a mortgage payment.  so sad.

I work 20 hours a week as a call representative for a company called Synergixx which gets me bullshit money.  I make my real dough selling crap on eBay.  I'm also a fulltime college student.

I create videos/DVDs for an electrical utility company. They are technical, training, safety, can be almost anything. And I do it all, camera, sound, produce, direct, edit, graphics, everything. I really enjoy it. Gets me all over Southern California since we cover 50,000 sq. miles of service territory. I recently learned how to use one of those Hi Def camera in a helicopter like the news and police have. Lots of fun!

I work at Ericsson, we manufacture infrastructure for the mobile networks. Stuff that hang in the big antennas taking care of the mobile phone networks in other words.

What i do there? I just sit on my ass looking at a assembly line in a clean room environment.
And no, it's not as boring as it sounds. I have a great time there, have a lot of fun and earn good money for almost no work and on top of that I only work 13 days in four weeks. Working shifts rule. :D

I am an account manager at Orange (mobile phones). Quite a relaxed job, sell some here and there to business customers. 8-)

I'm working at a school of interiordesign as a teacher (kind of).

I'm unemployed lol....... wait a minute thats not funny :'(. lol. I'm trying to find a job but no luck, but whenever a job comes around I also want to get back in school for graphic design. In the meantime I've been selling some of my own stuff on ebay, and just trying to find even more stuff to sell.

I'm a software developer.  

I've been tracking how much I've spent on NES games since starting a little over 3 years ago.  I wont say how much, but its been too much.  I didnt even bother to bid on that Myriad.

I also tend to spend a lot of my spare time trying to code NES games.  I havent got to far with that since I have 2 young kids (with a 3rd on the way).   Hopefully when I get it finished, I'll make 20 or 30 copies and be able to trade those for some of the variants I still need. (but since the parts are so expensive, I'm probably better off just buying them)

I finally got myself a job at another goodyear. yah for me ;D let the NES collecting resume.

I don't, at the moment.  I'm not allowed to work, waiting for the aussie govt. to approve my permanent visa (I just moved here a few months ago to be with my wife).  Before that, I ran a pizza shop, and before that, I worked in the finishing dept. of a small paper printing company.  I'd really like to get into some music production or sound design work, though.  In my spare time, I write original electronic music and remix videogame songs for practice ala OCremix.org (file under Revolver Project, though there's only one of my tracks up there as of yet).

I worked armed security. It can be both monotonous and action packed depending where I am working.  :)

im a fashion photographer under a master right now.  i pretty much take photos for magazines like vogue & cosmo of women in underwear.  its not too shabby.  ;)

I'm an IT "technician" doing all sorts of stuff like maintaining servers, user accounts, logon scripts and crap like that... my biggest challenge currently is messing around in Computer Associates' Desktop Server Management (DSM) making software packages for network deployment etc. (boring?... not really :-)

When I'm not doing any of the above, I work on some website you've probably never even heard of ;-)

I work in produce at good ol' Wally World. Come to find out today, my pay has been raised by quite a bit so that leaves me with almost an extra grand a month to spend on NES. Me happy :)
