Title: factory sealed game
Post by TheFinalDayComes on 31. Jan 2007 at 19:50
I just got an Ultimate Basketball game factory sealed. There are no horizontal lines on the back, isn't there supposed to be. How can I tell if its really factory sealed or resealed.

Sometimes stores would reseal them if they were opened.  Toys R Us did this a lot.  Like if a customer opened it and returned it, something like that.  I don't think a copy of Ultimate Basketball came from the factory without that seam in the shrinkwrap.  You'll have to ask Bronty for his expert advice.

I'm thinking that it didn't come from the factory with the seal on the back, like I said before it was so minty.

You opened it!  :o How could you? I wouldn't be able to live with myself knowing that I've opened something nearly 20 years old!

What game was it?  I'm compiling a list of game contents from sealed games that get opened.  PM me a list of the contents.  Notables are the codes on every item (if you can't find it for a specific item, I'll try and give you a clue as to where to find it...), a bit of details about the inserts (ie sometimes the epilepsy warning docs and projection tv warning docs have identical codes, so this is important), and what type of sleeve came with it (there are 4 for licenced games, 2 Nintendo and 2 black).  Thanks for your help :)

And Duke, I've been opening every sealed NES game I have laid my hands on.  Shockwave, TMNT, Quattro Arcade, Tiny Toon Adventures: Cartoon Workshop...think I've opened a couple more but I could be mistaken...

Well, I guess that's a cool reason to do so..if you HAD to. But I'm too OCD to do such a thing.. :D
