Title: Stack-Up Complete PAL version!
Post by jajaja on 13. Feb 2007 at 15:59
Recieved this today! :D

I already have a copy of it, but the box is in lousy shape hehe.
Had to get another one :) I was hoping to sell my other copy,
but when i recieved this i notice its a "variation".

The first copy i got got FRA code, this got HOL code, but both are bought in France.
Its also strange that they released 2 codes for this game since both manuals
got both dutch and french text.
The cart in the HOL version is also FRA on the front, but HOL on the back :o
I remember there was a discussion about it here (or at Digitalpress) a while ago :)
Check these pics for more diffrences:

Yep, i think Bandai was the distributor of NES stuff in France and Holland, atleast to start with. Anyone have some more info on this btw?

Yes, you may ask, but i wont answer! Haha ;D Seriosuly tho, if you take away shipping and ROB its about 100 euro (130 US dollah) for the Stack-Up. Not super cheap, but im happy with that price :) Atleast now i have both PAL-B releases so i dont have to hunt for them anymore. They are hard to come by in any state/condition after my experience.

Okay, so a 72-pin NES version was made - that's good to know.

That's true. Later Nintendo took over. Holland, Belgium, Luxemburg and France was one big market (FRA). Only when a game was translated to Frencg, the Dutch gamers got an English version of the game (with the HOL-tag on the cart, examples: Shadowgate, Maniac Mansion, Kirby's Adventure).

Hm...I didn't know this game existed without the converter inside.  Interesting.
Also I paid $150 for my CIB copy (US version) which I was happy with, so I think your purchase of around 100 Euros was pretty good.
Nice stuff jajaja.

100 euro is definitely a good price I think, especially considering the rarity of the PAL ones.  Check out this PAL-A one, sold for over 400 euro!
