Hey folks, i think i may have discovered a PAL Star Wars box variant.
The sides only seem to have different colours, purple and beige.
The fronts and backs of the boxes are the same, also the top flaps and the Star Wars logo on it are the same.

Also, does anyone know whether or not the PAL Star Wars was released with a necklace? I've seen pics of it and even an auction but really wonder if it was issued with the game. Any info anyone?

I never heard of a necklace being included. Have you got a pic of it by any chance?
Also wondering if the NTSC version has box differences.

I do have a pic of it but it's stored on my computer at home. I think Speedy has a pic though. He was the one that pointed me towards the auction.

Maybe it was added as a promotion, i wonder how it looks like. Does any of y'all have Star Wars NTSC doubles to check if these diff's are in this format also?

The necklace stuff was imo a hoax/bullshit. I remember that auction myself. Everyone could have made that stuff up, so easy hehe :) If it was real i'm sure more people would still have it. If it as real and some limited edition im sure it would be some sort of sticker or box variation telling about the including necklace.

It would also be the only NES game that includes something like that (except for the troll on the AVE game, but that was on the outside).

Not true jajaja.  Monster in my Pocket has a free toy monster on the inside of the box.  It shows a pic of him on the back of the box if you want to see it.

And then there is the cloth Taboo bag, which I still haven't seen.  Not sure if it was a hoax or what.  I know one member here opened a sealed copy, but who knows.

Ah yes, i knew about Monster in my Pocket when you mentioned it, sorry about that hehe. Where on earth is that monster btw, how does it fit? Smaller styrofoam?

It does indeed use a much smaller styro to allow the Monster to fit.  It is actually very damn hard to find one with the Monster still included, I have only seen a handful of them ever.  I bought mine off Bad Dog when he sold his whole collection off a few years back for $25 bucks, I got a steal IMO.

The Taboo doesn't mention anything about the cloth bag inside, and I have never seen one either.  It is one of those things that is a rumor and who knows it if exists, kinda like the solid white label Dusty Diamond Allstars, I have yet to see one of those yet!

ill check on the starwars boxes. as i still have around 7 complete if my memory serves me right.

Good to see you back Niels. You have the biggest Star Wars collection of The Neterlands, i guess we can say for certain that it wasn't included.
Although i would still want to see that picture of the auction people were refering to.
