Post by Dutch nes gamer on 17. Feb 2007 at 18:02
:-? a guy offerd my scans(colour copies) of the rodland manual,so that i can make a replica of the manual for 10 euro.

It is the guy that sold the complete rodland on ebay

i only need the manual to complete the box and cart

BUT THE OUESTION:

Does this count as complete in your opion??

If i had a replica manual for a game i would never call it complete. I must have the origial only before its complete, copies doesnt count, but thats just me.

I agree with jajaja, if someone told me they had a complete NES collection with photocopied manuals, I would say keep going, you gotta find those manuals.

I 3rd the comments above.  Has to be an orignal in my book, but if it is good enough for you, that is all that really matters.  It is your collection after all.

I think a replica,if it is well done, will have a certain value but never as much as the original.
I remember around a year ago, some guy sold a stadium events with a new label. It didnt sell for as much as a game with it`s original label but I still sold for a good price.

I would never go for replica manuals, even if they looked really nice...

No, it doesn't count as a CIB copy if the manual isn't original.  I know it can be damn hard to complete a copy of Rodland, so I understand why he'd want a photocopy manual to hold him over until he can find a real manual.  But no it has to be original in order to call it complete.

For €10,- you can have a copy of my manual. But seriously, i wouldn't call it complete, it's just not the same. I would wait for it if i were you, it will pop up on eBay if you have patience, or even marktplaats (dutch site).
It took me 1,5 years to complete my Mr. Gimmick, so patience is a good thing. ;)
