Boy, I just saw a review of this game on youtube, and the guy reviewing it was going on and on about how much it sucks, and I couldn't believe it! It looked FUN to me! So I downloaded the ROM soon after I saw the review, and surely enough, I DID like it actually. It's hard, yes, but it is enjoyable. This doesn't belong in the same category as crap like Total Recall, Treasure Master and King's Knight. I just CANNOT understand WHY the majority of people on the planet thinks certain games SUCK! People think Die Hard Vendetta sucks, I think it's awesome, don't understand why. People think Elevator Action sucks, I can't understand why, because it's fun, and it's even on the Taito Legends collection for PS2!!!!! There's other games I know of with this situation, but nothing off the top of my head right now.

People think Athena sucks and i will never know why because i love that game.some people just dont have taste...i wouldnt worry about them dude.

I enjoy Mutant Virus a great deal. I think it is indeed an unrated gem in the NES library. I am guessing it was the Angry Nintendo Nerd? He hates every game seems like.

Umm... underrated you mean?

You have to take every review with a grain of salt - Gay Informer reviewed Mission: Impossible for the NES, & from the impression I got I thought this game was going to be horrible. When I actually played it though, whoa! :o It was tough, but the programmers went way beyond the call of duty with gameplay tricks. I mean, that part with the magnets - damn.

That game earned its title well.

Mutant Virus owned my ass for years. I think people fear a game that they can't easily control. I hated it for years until I finally beat it, now I look back on it and think it wasn't all bad.

The controls are something you have to get use to but i enjoy it also.
