Title: Anybody know thecollectorskeep? Post by Speedy_NES on 09. Mar 2007 at 15:45
http://feedback.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewFeedback&userid=thecollectorskeep&item=140076459080&iid=140076459080&frm=1883&ssPageName=STRK:MESO:UFS
This guy bought a MIB PAL SE from me for 300, told me he had a sudden medical bill and would need more time to pay...now he doesn't respond anymore, yet he bids on other items of mine, and he's constantly buying stuff on eBay (including that Sachen lot)....anybody know if he is a member here or on another forum like DP or so? I'm tempted to end the dispute and leave him a big negative...but I figure I'll check here as a last resort before I do that... Edit: If this should be in the eBay forum, feel free to move it there -- thanks! |

before looking at his feedback I would say that he is definitely a deadbeat, and you should neg him. however, his rep seems pretty good, so maybe give him a little more time. i don't know him, but usually members that large are pretty reliable.

;D i dealt with him one time. He bought a bunch of games over a 3 week period of time. he kept saying he wanted to wait till he was done buying stuff to pay. after the weeks went bye i messaged him asking to pay. he replied with.
Sounds great. Also, if you could just throw Stack-Up in there for about $8.00, that would be excellent. Thanks! Also, I was just wondering what kind of condition that Princess box and manual are in. Thanks! ;D $8.00 for a CIB stack yup this guys dreaming. i reply with. Again with the stack up. Ill take $175 for stack up he replies with this. You have a deal! Stack-Up for $1.75 - I was not expecting that, but throw her on there. You can't get much better than that Andy!! Let me have the entire total, and I will pay!! what a piece of shit. i reply with. I think its time for new glasses. $175.00 Once again i get another stupid response. ok hook up total and include a free game please? So after all this time wasting my time and pissing me off you expect a freebie >:( Well guess what i gave him a freebie. He got the worst condition game i had. and on top of it i wiped my ass with it. ;D So Enjoy your dealings with thecollectorskeep. One thing good was that he did pay eventually. |

I have never dealt with him, but I see him around a lot. I would send him one last email saying you have 5 days to pay, otherwise I will leave you a neg and be done with you. Don't let him jerk you around to much. Judging by Magoo's post, he is a smart ass to boot >:(

Thanks for your input guys!
I'm reluctant to tell him I'm going to neg him if he doesn't pay within x days, because then he may quickly neg me first so that he can claim my neg is based on revenge rather than fact. By the way, is it possible to have eBay remove a neg from a non-paying bidder? I recall hearing that they implemented this 6-12 months ago or so...anybody know for sure? |

I recently had to make a non paying buyer claim and if the seller does not respond within a week you can close the claim and ebay will refund you for any final value fee you were charged... The buyer then cannot leave negative feedback in any way and they are given a strike or something.... hope this helps..... you can also go on ebay and look it up in there help section of the site and they have a whole write up about it.....

Thanks for your input. Are you certain that buyers cannot leave negative feedback in any way, though? I just checked the eBay site and it says that both buyers and sellers can, and are encouraged to, leave feedback even when an Unpaid Item dispute is part of the transaction.
I've filed & closed numerous disputes before w/neg feedback each time, and never received any in return, but it was generally from users with less than 10 feedback, so they likely just didn't bother. Hmm, I was about to leave a neg and close the dispute, and I see that he did respond in the dispute about a week ago, but I don't recall ever getting an e-mail or msg about this. He asks to pay for the listing fees because it's not the game he needs (I assume his medical bill excuse was meant to keep me waiting long enough until it would have been too late to start a dispute), and that his roommate is the one that bid on my other games...sounds like the typical BS. |

Dang this guy is playing with people, i hate people like this but i guess you can't prevent them from bidding. Only thing he needs to do is get another eBay nick.

I think I may block him from bidding on my stuff, I don't want to have to deal with the guy. Sounds like to much of a hassle to me.

cancel his bids, and then block him from bidding on your account. Very easy to do, only takes a minute or so.

I'm not all too worried about it, he does seem to pay for all items he wins EVENTUALLY, even if it takes longer than 7 days and you have to open a dispute first. However, I do have him blocked now.
