Why? Because there are certain games that he's reviewed that people have LIKED, and nobody hated those particular games until he reviewed them! For example, nobody thought Simon's Quest sucked until he reviewed it, and then the same thing happened with TMNT and Top Gun. Nobody hated those games either until he reviewed them! Then one of his stupid-ass fanboys tried to defend James saying "The only reason TMNT was a success back then was because it was TMNT.". Yeah, right. That's why it was a big hit, and that's why it's coming soon to the Wii Virtual Console. Not only that, it was in THE WIZARD, and it was one of the games constantly featured in that film. I'm gettin' really pissed with this guy. Hypothetically, if he had said either Pac Man or Galaga sucked, he'd probably get people to agree with him. At least Armake21, who I think is funnier than AVGN, doesn't get everybody on the planet to hate all the games he reviews, even though alot of the games he's reviewed really do suck though. Sorry. I don't mean to spam, I just wanted to blow off steam about something that's bugging the crap out of me.

No he didn't review that, but he should! I still can't believe his ridiculous effect on people. It's because of him that people now hate TMNT, Top Gun and Simon's Quest. But I agree with his opinions on the other games he's reviewed though.

I'm not pissed at Angry Video Game Nerd, but I definitely hate all his stupid fans.  

The only video of his I really liked was the TMNT one, only because it pointed out the glaringly obvious flaws in that game.  It seems as with his other videos, he made up flaws just to be funny.

I just don't understand why people think he is funny. I watched a few of his reviews a while back and thought they were pretty stupid really.  Seems to me that he is trying to hard to be funny and make every game he reviews seem bad.  Does anyone really cuss as much as he does (I do at work, but not at home ;D) ??

I too have to say, that i hate the fact that people have started hating games that they didn't before he started reviewing them.

Sure, some of those games have their flaws, but they necessarily aren't total crap. Like TMNT, i think it's a very good game, apart from those few hellish jumps etc. they don't manage to ruin the whole game, just make it hellishly difficult in some parts of the game. One of my all time favorite games. :)

But still, i don't hate the Nerd. I think it's just good that someone is making something like this about the NES in 2007. :)

Ever since I found out about Snake's Revenge's unofficiality, I dismissed it as such.  I assumed from all the negative criticism that Hideo Kojima himself didn't like it, but then I heard otherwise. So why do people not like it so much? It's a solid game.  I'd understand it if Kojima himself didn't like it.

Kojima does like it though. Plus this game came out before Metal Gear 2:Solid Snake, so technically, Snake's Revenge is the true sequel.

4. That Godzilla game is damn impossible...he even proved it in the review. Hell, I proved it myself.

I thought Snake's Revenge was a good game, though.  I can understand if it were a terrible game, & everybody hated it; like the Zelda CD-I games. ;D But there seems to be a rather unusual antipathy towards this title.  Even somewhere on GamePro I read that it wasn't even made by Kojima & we should forget its existence or something like that.

That's an accurate and very telling review of DD3, lol.  I remember I once owned this game.  Very difficult indeed.  I actually beat it too, without a game genie.  Turns out the final boss is Marian as Cleopatra...weird... :-?

Did anybody see James' latest review for Ghostbusters II? Somebody commented saying that the funniest part was when he tried to melt the cartridge with his eyes. WHAT is so funny about that? What is this world coming to? Oh, and he goes outside and points to a piece of dog shit and says that's what the game reminds him of. BIG DEAL. So what? Why is that funny? What is wrong with most people in today's world? Somebody even suggested James review the "Tiny Toon Adventures" game, and James said he's thinking about reviewing "The Adventures of Bayou Billy", and if he reviews EITHER ONE of those, I will be SO pissed, and I will NEVER forgive him.

Holy shit, calm down. It's just ten minute videos, it's not life or death here. And I thought the dog shit part was actually pretty clever. What do you mean "so what"? He's saying the game is dogshit, and I tend to agree. I also agree that Bayou Billy sucks, too. I like Tiny Toons, though.

It seems as if he relies a bit too much on scatalogical humor as opposed to wit.  I thought a few of his reviews were decent, but after seeing this last one, I must say he has degraded quite a bit.  But, some people still like him and there are plenty of covers of his theme song floating around on youtube.  Not to mention all of the copy-cats.  Although if you want to check out a bad review of Bayou Billy (which is a bone of contention amongst many, whether you like it or not), check out the Spoony Experiment.  His reviews rely less on scatalogical material and foul language (although he does swear) than AVGN, and he actually reviews terrible games.

If you watched any other videos of his you would see that he has said that he doesnt hate all the games he reviews he said that most of the games that he reviews are some of his favorites like simons quest. Honestly if you hate anybody it should be the fans that jumped on the bandwagon of hating these great amazing games everything he says about the games are just jokes GET THE HELL OVER IT.

Honestly, I don't care so much for him. Gel Game Babble is where it is at. I just do not like the fact he calls himself an AVGN.
