Title: Favorite band/Singer
Post by petrosky on 28. Mar 2007 at 04:39
Hey all, I know this has probably been posted before but I figured I'd start a new thread to see what kind of music everyone likes

I like mainly anything except rap and country I can go listening the beatles to billy idol to boyz II men to foo fighters to mariah carey.   I know I have quite a few different tastes but those are some of the different groups/singers I listen too.

Duran Duran is an 80s pop band. Know for "Hungry Like The Wolf," mainly, but they've got others.

I liek all kinda stuff, 80's music is great. Like New Order, Dead or Alive and so on. I also like Placibo and Creed.
I produce some stuff too, like techno and electro, sometimes some hardcore also. It depends on my mood i guess, i like all kinda genres in music.

I like anything but country and rap.  I hate all country, but I can tolerate some rap if it is 80's rap (Vanilla Ice, MC Hammer, Heavy D, ABC, Bell Biv, etc...they funny shit)

I mainly like rock and punk.  Some of my favorite bands in no order are Nirvana, KoRn, Three Days Grace, Green Day, Seether and Bolwing for Soup.

Green Day is AMAZING live.  I'm not too much a fan of them but got free tickets so I went.  They put on such a good show.  I recommend to see them if you can while they're still performing.

I have seen them 5 times live.  Twice outdoor, and 3 times indoor.  They are probably my favorite band, they do put on one of the best live shows by far.  I have seen about 500+ concerts over the years, and Green Day and Saliva put on the best shows.

Thn today I "discovered" another great danish band, Volbeat

Check it out even if you're not into metal (this is as soft and melodic as metal can possibly get)

A list of bands I'm currently listening to, in no order:

Within Temptation
Royal Hunt
Kamelot
Silent Force
Cornerstone
Volbeat
Creed
At-Vance

Yeah, against me! rocks it live. Lots of energy. They just seem to be so happy up there on stage. I have seen so many bands live and against me! is near the top for live bands. Choking victim was an amazing band. NOFX is pretty good. AFI anything pre the art of drowning is amazing. Hated the art of drowning (except wesker and 6 to 8) and everything afterwards, though. Op ivy was very, very, very good. Not a fan at all of green day or rancid, though.  Pretty good list, though, overall.

I don't have a 'top favorites.' there are too many to pick from. Just to name a few...

The Beatles
Queen
The Dresden Dolls
Modest Mouse
The Postal Service
Oingo Boingo
They Might Be Giants
Bjork
Nine Inch Nails
Flogging Molly
The Killers
Ayumi Hamasaki
MSI
Tool

After the first two, they aren't in any order. I listen to way more music than that, My 60gb jpod is about 3/4 full with good music. I also listen to classical music, and showtunes on a regular basis.
