Looks pirated, but I need to see game pics to tell you that. Show me the game and the title screen.

It is a pirate cart, I have it. There are several games that say Konami on them but are actually pirates.

These pirates are kinda the same as the welknown Supervision carts we know.
There are multi's known of but also single games, all the same label (like Supervision), only iirc there are no label diffs like Supervision has with single games and multi carts. I had a few of these and i still have one multi with 5 or 6 games on it, not all Konami released games on it, i had a Section Z cart of it. |

It's probably heavier because there's a 60->72 pin adapter inside, most of my multicarts have one. I got one "free" in a lot I bid on last year because it was "broken" - I just unscrewed it, reseated the old famicom rom and it worked like a charm :)

Well unfortunately the scrambling is probably coming from bit rot, from those exposed eprom windows.
Anyone who knows: are there better and worse grades of eprom, perhaps a grade that may deteriorate more quickly than others? I've heard of rotted Panesian and Pirate NES carts, but most of the more "legit" unlicensed games burned onto eprom to save money are still fine. Of course, it could just be that they were made later on, in the 90's or so...and these pirated were produced in the heyday in the mid-80's. |

I'm not aware of any Nintendo licensed games that have eproms in them, since Nintendo required such a large initial run of all licensed games it was simply more economical to program dedicated roms. These are permanent and won't degrade, the copper connectors will prolly fail to ambient moisture corrosion before these permanent chips "go bad."
