I was wondering if there was a Sailor Moon game for the Famicom? I know there is at least one for the Super Famicom, but I swore I read somewhere that there was one for the first Famicom, but I can't find it anywhere on eBay.
Anyone have any ideas? 8-) |

There is. It is very rare and made my Sachen. Most people don't even know it exists. I didn't until recently :P

I recall several for the SFC, including Sailor Moon R, Another Story, & Super S Fighting.
I've often wondered the same thing, but assumed the series made its run during the 16-bit era. |

Official title, I believe, is: Sailor Moon (Bisyoujyo Yume Kou Jyou), made by Sachen, as noted.

Trust me. I've been made fun of a LOT for liking Sailor Moon. I don't know many 26 year old guys who walk around with a Sailor Moon shirt on. It takes courage, I tell you what.

Gameplay wise though, stick to the Super Famicom versions...I hear the Famicom/NES Sachen one is REALLY bad...

The FC Sailor Moon game... actually it isn't Sailor Moon, it's a port of the PC game "Princess Maker" translated into Chinese. Princess Maker in Chinese is known as "美少女夢工場" which contains the same "美少女" characters (bishoujou/mei shao nu - "pretty girl") as Sailor Moon's Japanese name "Bishoujou Senshi Sailor Moon". Probably some pirates (or even Sachen themselves) picked up on the "美少女" part of the name and decided to use Sailor Moon artwork on the cartridge, and that's why it's so often thought to be a Sailor Moon game.
