Title: Two firsts for me...
Post by Limbofunk on 10. May 2007 at 23:25
I received two packages last night, each containing a 'first' for my collection.

The first package had my first pirate cart in it...

Which I got from this auction:  http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ih=015&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWN%3AIT&viewitem=&item=250108042229&rd=1&rd=1

and the second package contained this.....

My very first prototype!  Caveman Games is one of my girlfriend's favorite NES games, so I thought it would be fitting to pick it up...we played through it last night and I was excited to see that it is quite different from the final version!

Very nice finds limbo.  Very cool that the proto has differences from the final version of the game.  Congrats.

Thats a sweet first find there. I still don't have a pirate cart yet. Does it have a bunch of good games on it

Definitely nice finds!  How significant are the differences in the Caveman Games prototype?

I also haven't seen that multi before -- great price, too!

The differences are quite apparent.  The control scheme is completely different and some events, though playable, are unfinished.  I'm going to have to sit down with two copies when I get some time and see what differences I can find.

I haven't played the multi yet, though I think the most entertainment lies in the wording on the front label and the misspellings of games on the back.
