When you click on their eBay link, it brings you to auctions of thecollectorskeep.  They BS a lot when buying items (speaking from personal experience as well as what I've heard from other collectors that they've bought from), so IMO the charity part is likely BS as well (they don't specify any amount or percentage of the future sale).  

What's truly sad is that pleas like this work...and it's not because they're being dishonest and bilking people out of games. I don't understand why we collectively feel the need to satisfy our guilt and vanity by donating to charity, but we rue paying taxes and half of us vote for people who promise cuts in government spending and taxes. Got news for you, every time you get a paycheck you've given to thousands of charities and NPO's. Unless you work for pay under the table, relax and spend what's left of your hard-earned money on yourself or your future.

Yeah, he takes forever to pay usually, which only bothers me a little bit.  The main thing that I don't like is he always emails you saying some BS sob story to buy time.  Why not just email you and say that he's going to need some extra time for payment?

Also, if you go to that myspace page, and click on the last person to leave a comment "adrian" you can see who he is.  Not that it'll help you much but it's nice to know the person behind thecollectorskeep.

Interesting thread, always good to see that collectors are alert.

But really... if anybody wants to send me stuff for my collection, I'd be happy to take donations. Please note the following however:
-These are not tax deductible
-They do not benefit charity (except myself)
-You will not receive a T-shirt (unless it's really good)
-But I will give you an email "Thanks!"

Just want to be up front and honest,

This individual just bid and won on two of my auctions...yet to receive payment..eh.

I swear, if he hits me wth a sob story I will be like "well, you didn't consider your situation when you bid, now did you?"

I'm fairly sure he pays... I didn't get a nice story although it did take him almost a week to pay (I'm that lazy too sometimes for no real reason other than being lazy)....

this guy payed, but advertised in my feedback for his myspace page....
I gave him neutral for that little stint. Told me he wasn't going to buy from me anymore and I said thanks.
