Title: uncommon games that are more rare than A+ Post by Dutch nes gamer on 15. May 2007 at 10:34
Do you guys have this feeling too,i mean i can't find some uncommon games, but found some rodlands ::)
exsample's bucky o'hare- great game that i played as a kid(rental) only 1 time i saw it,cart only bought it lucky me,but never saw it again, ever bigfoot, never saw this game in the wild boatduel, this game is more rare here than rodland, never saw this game,in wild or on the net. Maybe im looking at the wrong place :-? ALSO some medium rare games are more rare than the A+ rare games like rodland and mr gimmick because the get less attention. I mean these games you can find on ebay but rare games that are not that common, don't see them -snowboard challenge-this game is a real b*tch too find ,and a game thats in the way of completing my pal collection -panic restaurant - trolls in crazyland - mighty final fight what do you think, also had these kind of problems :-? |

Your right, it's hard to complete some of those. I guess it takes time and dedication. You have to watch alot on eBay and look on forums plus have cash for it.

Regional scarcities are a reality, and something that made the NES hobby very difficult to track and document before the advent of the internet et large and eBay. Only national companies like Funcoland had the resources to be able to gather a list of all titles among all of their stores, and even then what the rarity was on those games was a mystery. Finding certain games in the wild in some sections of the country or the world can be a virtual impossibility unless you're lucky and cartridges got "cross-pollenated" by people who were given a game as a gift from someone in a different sales region, etc.
Most of this info is lost in the mists of time, since eBay has all but eliminated state and international lines, but the most repeated example is Stadium Events that was supposedly released in and around NYC exclusively. |

thats right dangevin,
And thats why i think that the best place to collect is europe, all nice usa carts where inported here. And europe is the hardest collection to get complete, with pal a and b and all the country variations. |

But very few collectors are interested in having the EEC, FRA, NOE, FRG, SNC and ESP version of the same game. That's only interesting to me, if the label is totally different. Bucky O'Hare is hard to find in Holland because it was not officially released here, but it's not hard to find at German eBay. |
