Title: found a racermate...on a scale? Post by dgordon86 on 16. May 2007 at 16:15
I'm buying someone's racermate tomorrow, more specificly, CompuTrainer Model Cat 8000.. I was wondering where it would fall on a scale of 1-10 (1 being lowest; 10 highest)
I know its "rare", but llke how often do they show up? This is off beat find for me...esp. since i started selling my collection. However, I did mention collection 3.0 would start soon and I think this item would be the perfect addition...depending on size though. Because I live with my girlfriend in a small studio (yeah, we're students) she gripes when I have like 10 nes systems laying around. I don't think shes going to like this. This is one of those items for me where it's like "oh, I actually can find one?".."cool". also, is $150.00 a fair deal? thanks guys - Dave. edit* - photos of everything. |

I don't think it's as rare as people make it out to be, but it definitely holds some value. Wait for somebody more knowledgable to chime in on the subject.

I would say they are uncommon. They show up a lot on ebay and usually fetch nice prices. But the reason for that is that it appeals to more than one niche. Not only are NES collectors going after them, so are cycleists. There is one up on ebay right now with a start bid of over 400 and I guarantee it will sale.
