Title: Ponymon Post by bigb_ch on 22. May 2007 at 11:18
Does anyone know this game?
http://i16.photobucket.com/albums/b14/moosmann/ebay/ponymon-front.jpg http://i16.photobucket.com/albums/b14/moosmann/ebay/ponymon-back.jpg It was posted in some German Boards. And they wrote, that it was planed to release it in Sweden, but Nintendo got problems with the company, which produced "my little pony". So the game was never released, but Bergsala had 10'000 peaces on stock. They have sent them back to Japan, where Nintendo used the boards and cards for other games. But Bergsala keept hold of about 120 pieces. Beacause of the Game Cube release in 2002, Bergsala cleared their stock and gave them to their employees. Is this story true or absolute fake? :-? |

Total fake. The box is a obvious photoshop job for one. Nintendo would never make a box look that horrible (disregard Mega Man 1). Total hoax

The translation's hilarious. Sounds like it came from original German so I took the liberty of running it back-and-forth through Babelfish again, it's always a lark...
They are crazy rose, the impudent girl with dirty chocolate the hair! They are now stated, in order to collect all nice small Ponys and to insert them into your large dark collecting cellar! The Ponys loves butter and cake. So you must be fast, before the fetthaltigen [fatty] Ponys above cleans the ugly malicious breath and it with a large SIP! swallow! More Ponys, you, more collect those the points you count and faster you a complete accumulation of a Ponystammes [ponytribes] and could to the following Ponyland to continue. But clock out! Around some corners lurks some material freaky Ponys with deformed bodies and terrible diseases! That is, if your thinner spray comes to use... pretty damned close at parts :) But clock out! |

Someone sure did go to a lot of trouble to make a fake though, props for that at least.

The game in the pictures is fake, but there is a ponymon. It's a fan remake of pokemon red that replaces the pokemon with ponies. If you are not a brony or pegasister you will not care for it.

The back of the box looks, great.
However the front of the box spells, and smells like Adobe Ai, or something out of toonboom, Even Disney animator looks better then that. Seriously have you seen "Adventure Time", that is how sad this looks. IT MIGHT BE REAL. Because Europeans are allways looking for shortcuts when it comes to art manifacturing. Games from then were airbrushed, water colored, and even cell drawn with love. It stayed like that until the mid 1995, when everybody was using Ai, Mac, Amiga, and even photoshoped, crap. Seriously American art boxes had so much love put into them. The Japanese box arts all had the same love but they looked like something from a comic book. If I ever see that game for sale, I am not buying it for more then ten dollars the least most. The game looks like a knock of Super Mario brothers ( as with most western games during the NES era ). TELL ME ANYBODY REMEMBER ELMIRE ( not Elivira ) FROM TINY TOONS??? Morph her on that box and then we talk business. |
