Title: Awesome find with a good story
Post by TheFinalDayComes on 03. Jun 2007 at 21:46
I searched Ebay for NES items within a 25 mile radius and I came across a new seller selling a Dragon Warrior IV for 39.99 with free shipping so I messaged him asking if he had anymore games. He said yeah some NES, SNES and N64 so I asked if we could meet and I could check them out, he gave me his number and I went and checked his stuff out.

When I first got their he asked if I knew a fellow game collector named Ian, I said yeah. Well turns out thats one of his best friends. I am checking out his stuff and picking what I like out. I ask him how much and he tunrs to his price guide :(. I told him I'll buy a bunch of stuff if the price is right. He starts calculating everything then says whatever and names a price and I accepted.

Here is my score:

NES Toploader system with cables and dogbone controller

- Star Trek 25th Anniversary
- Exodus Ultima
- Conquest of The Crystal Palace

SNES System with cables and controller

- Top Gear
- Super Mario RPG
- Super Smash TV
- NBA Jam
- Rocky Rodent
- Bill Laimbers Combat Basketball
- Bomberman
- Final Fantasy Mystic Quest

N64 system with all cables and one controller, 2 rumble packs, gameboy transfer?? and pikachu Mic

- Banjo Kazooie
- Goldeneye 007
- Donkey Kong
- Star Fox
- Mario Kart
- Zelda Ocarina
- Zelda Majora GOLD
- Pokemon Stadium
- Gauntlet Legends
- Quake 2
- Perfect Dark
- Quest 64
- Winback
- South Park
- Hey you Pikachu
- Turok
- Pokemon Snap
- Pokemon Stadium
- Madden 2001

All for just $150, not too bad I say

Cool. What about the DWIV? Did he include it?

nah I told him I already had it, actually 2 of them. I didn't want to "rob" him, he knew what everything could go for but was giving me a deal anyway

Great score, some of those games go for quite some cash. Congrats!

What makes it nice is I sold my SNES and N64 a little while back when I lost my job and needed money. and ALOT of those games that I just got I had before, plus the systems are in better shape. Oh and I really wanna play Mario RPG I didn't get to finish it last time....or get very far :-/

I LOVE that game!  One of my top five SNES games, hands down...I've lost count how many times I have played it.  I'm sure you'll enjoy it all the way through.

Nice score, cool story to go along with it.

I also sometimes search eBay for Nintendo items nearest to my home.  Sometimes you can make out like a bandit if they allow local pickup.  In this case, you made out like a bandit. 8-)
