Title: looking for a nes 2 toploader... i have questions Post by ballzdeep38 on 03. Jul 2007 at 21:03
ok so i am looking for a nes toploader to play my old nes games on. i am tired of blowing into the games and tryng to make it work. i have found a guy selling one for what seems to be a really good price ($45) for a NIB system. the system comes with 2 famicom games. i have never played nor am i familiar with famicom games. does the nes 2 play famicom games? or am i looking a third party knock off system? i would like to buy a original NES 2 system, not the knock off's. unfortunatley there is no picture so i cant see what the system looks like. does this sound reasonable or am i looking at a bogus ad?

It sounds like a pirate famiclone system not the real deal. I would spurlge and get the real deal off ebay for around 75 bucks, it is sooo worth it.

YES IT IS. I recently got my first toploader a month ago and Its so much better than the toaster version. You should splurge.

Yeah, be careful. A lot of sellers on eBay try to sell the new Yobo and the NES/SNES 2 in 1 clones while labeling them 'Top Loaders.' Make sure you look at the picture on the auction to verify it is the real deal. They usually get up in the $80 range, but it's worth it if you can afford it. Otherwise I'd recommend replacing the 72 pin connector in your toaster. I haven't had any problems with any games, assuming the connector pins on the cart are clean.

I have to agree with these other guys. The "for real" Nintendo top loaders are fantastic. The only thing I don't like about it is the lack of A/V connections. NES 2 is the way to go if you can come up off the cash.
